We had the good fortune of connecting with Frank Bauer and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Frank, we’d love for you to start things off by telling us something about your industry that we and others not in the industry might be unaware of?
I’ve learned that as a Performer of the Film industry, having strong will is a must since we have to accept rejection. Sometimes we audition with as many as 30+ similar artists in the same room (Pre-Pandemic).

Besides how good we may perform, there’s a huge array of competition. Say at least half of the Talent does an excellent job, so now what? Process of elimination? Yep, down to “Round Two” of auditions and if you’re lucky enough to get chosen in “Callbacks”, you’ll be amongst the few that have a higher chance of landing it.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
One major thing about the film industry, is that it’s completely unpredictable. One day you’re booked, and the next day you can be cut. A scene can be cancelled, rewrote or just rescheduled for any reason. Your role and dialogue can be replaced or swapped out with a more fit one. And occasionally you wake up with the news that you got the part (MY FAVORITE PART).

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’d definitely invite them to “Flapper’s Comedy Club And Restaurant” now that it’s open.
