We had the good fortune of connecting with FrankenVi and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi FrankenVi, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
As a I child, I imagined myself as an artist – not even knowing what does it mean exactly. I have a vivid life inside my soul, lot of creatures and feelings, and wanted to represent them in different forms of art. I am so impressed by people who can make others wonder of the beauties and deepness of the world. This is a really important task. As you try to be better and better every day, you transform this power into the creatures and work you do, and that can encourage people to believe… to believe in themselves, in the miracles, in the power of Truth and Love. Through the tales, thoughts, effects and meanings of works of art people have the possibility to know themselves better, to face hard times betters and become more the person who they want to develop. I cannot tell if it is working or not, my clients and friends can talk about this…

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Creating and wearing tattoos are not aesthetic for me in the first place. I love the process more. I love thinking about the ideas, immerse in the meaning of a symbol, try to find the connection between the soul and the design. I love working with other people’s soul and thoughts, get to know their stories and memories. I love to see the effect of my work not just on their body, but a little bit on their life too… and that’s why I think this is a big responsibility. I am really honored to making this… The way of becoming a tattooer is easy, the road to becoming a good person and artist is much more harder. 🙂 I am tryin’ every day…
I started as an apprentice, it lasted 3-4 years, and it is needed hard work but it was a beautiful period of my life. I don’t think there is an arrival. We are on the road while we are on Earth.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My town is not a big fun. It is a town without any great artistic possibilities, but I enjoy the closeness of the nature, as I am not a big fan of such big cities like the capitol city of my country. I prefer slow life. If someone wants me to suggest some good way of spending time here, I would send her/him to the national park in my county, called Őrség, and try to convince them to rent a woodhouse there in the middle of the forest. That would be the best trip!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I am really grateful for the Universe/One/God -or you can call whatever you want. I believe in the greater power and that every soul in Earth has an important task. To learn how to Love, how to be Loved, how to be grateful for every aspect of Life and existence. I am grateful for all the artists, philosophers, writers, musicians, film directors etc… from whom I had a great inspiration to believe in things the society barely let us believe. I love my family, but I have to thank especially my Mom, my godfather and my black bunny that they taught me so much about the essence of things. In the past couple of years I learned the most from my husband, who is a great artist/musician and philosopher, but what is more important, he is the wisest soul I know…
As I think about my main activity as a tattooist, I have so much learning from the work with my clients.
