Meet Gabrielle Heslop | Actor, Voice Over Artist, Writer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Gabrielle Heslop and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Gabrielle, career-wise, where do you want to be in the end?
I envision a future where my partner and I own a thriving production company, creating meaningful opportunities for the Christian community. I aspire to write and produce original scripts and stories that resonate deeply with audiences. My passion for animation extends to both creation and voice acting, allowing me to bring characters to life in unique ways.
I dream of collaborating with visionaries like Tabitha Brown and DeVon Franklin, whose values and creativity align with my own. Ultimately, my goal is to build an empire that spreads joy, laughter, and healing, leaving a lasting positive impact on the world.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am an actor, voiceover artist, writer, and a passionate dancer! My journey in the arts began with my studies in theatre arts in NYC, which laid the foundation for my acting career and artistic endeavors. Currently, I am most excited about my writing projects. With the industry’s fluctuations, I’ve felt a strong push to create my own opportunities, leading me to develop my own material. While still in the incubation phase, these projects are close to fruition, and I am eager to share them soon.
Living in Los Angeles is both magical and challenging. Financial stability, job rejections, and the inherent ups and downs of the film industry have tested my resilience. Pushing through these challenges has been tough, but it reassures me that something significant awaits on the other side. The intensity of these obstacles suggests that the rewards will be equally substantial.
The most profound lesson I’ve learned is the importance of inner healing, as it allows you to present the best version of yourself. Additionally, I’ve realized that true fulfillment comes from meeting your basic needs and recognizing that anything beyond that is a blessing.
My ultimate goal is to spread joy, healing, and love through my art. I aim to share my personal story, which I am currently writing, to bring awareness and inspire others. Through my work, I hope to make a positive impact on the world.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I actually made a week long itinerary for my parents when they visited me here in LA. Everyday had a theme attached. My best friend actually lives here so I can tell you some of the things I do and we do together. Some places I would take a friend would be The Wellesbourne because its vibey and just a chill place to grab a drink and talk. I would definitely take anyone visiting to rooftop happenings in LA. Mama Shelter normally host Utopia Tribe and theres a live DJ playing house music. I would take them to scenic overlooks like Mulholland Scenic Overlook. Definitely would take them to Runyon, and I would love to take them to Terranea resort because its so beautiful we can stop along the way and walk a scenic trail. I’m sure there’s much more but I don’t want to take up too much space writing all my adventures. 🙂

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
No one is an island! I am blessed with an incredible support system that surrounds me with love and encouragement. First and foremost, the Lord Jesus is my number one source of strength. Following Him, my parents—my mom and two dads—have been unwavering in their support. My mother remarried, bringing my stepfather into my life, who has become a great source of support.
I am also grateful for my beautiful family, including my aunts, cousins, grandma, and extended relatives. And, of course, my dear friends, especially those here in LA, who provide an essential support system and companionship. Their love and support mean the world to me, especially as I navigate life far from home.
