We had the good fortune of connecting with GEONI and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi GEONI, any advice for those thinking about whether to keep going or to give up?
I’ve thought about giving up many times, choosing a “normal” life, the one we’re taught to follow growing up. It would definitely be easier to quit, whether it’s the first time something doesn’t work out or the hundredth.
But the truth is, some dreams don’t let you go.
They show up when you’re trying to sleep, they’re the reason you wake up, and sometimes they’re exactly what keeps you up at night. It’s a mix of excitement, love, pressure… even a bit of anxiety, because you feel how much it matters to you.
When you feel something like that, I don’t think it’s really a choice anymore. You can try to walk away, but it stays with you.
At some point, it becomes your own sweet obsession.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
GEONI began when I was 15. Since then, my sound has constantly evolved as a way to express the different “worlds” I’ve explored in my life. But it wasn’t until I was 22 that I truly committed to it. After finishing my studies, I decided to take my art seriously: to study my own technique, refine my sound, and dedicate myself completely to building something real. I sold my car, worked extra shifts, and secured government support and sponsorships.
After working with different labels, I realized I needed complete creative control to fully express my vision. That’s when I founded my own label, Above The Noon (ATN). Not just as a label, but as a creative universe where I could build everything from the ground up.

Around 2023–2025, I started experimenting more deeply with indie dance and nu-disco, blending those sounds with my roots in blues, rock, and alternative music. A lot of people saw that combination as “too different” or hard to place and that’s exactly where the resistance came in. Some labels didn’t believe in that vision. But I kept going.

I independently released my singles and my album “The Legitimate Son Of A Rockstar” through ATN, and that moment changed everything. It led to being nominated at the Monster Music Awards 2026, where I won Best Mainstream Electronic Artist. That experience taught me something important: trusting your vision is not optional. it’s everything. What started as a wild dream slowly became something deeper… something that doesn’t let you go. A sweet obsession.

Right now, I’m entering a new era or in a new reality. My music is becoming more narrative, more immersive — almost cinematic. I’m showing a universe where every release is a chapter, and every chapter reveals a different reality I’ve lived.
Los Angeles plays a big role in that world for me. It represents the dream, the illusion, the beauty, and also the confusion between what you love and what consumes you.

The first chapter, “Sweet Obsession,” came out on March 13. The second chapter, “Perfume,” will be released on May 8.
I don’t see music as just songs to express myself, I see it as worlds, emotions, and realities that people can step into. Every track is a piece of that universe, and every release reveals a little more of the story.
I want people to feel like they’re not just listening… but entering something.

I’m not really writing love songs, I’m writing about the things we fall in love with, even when they consume us.
What are we willing to do to achieve our sweet obsession and reach that light at the end? the lights of a dream.

Because at some point, you realize…
The confession is not always pain. Sometimes it’s just the transfer of love.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
First stop must be In-N-Out, then head down Santa Monica Boulevard to reach the Pier, stroll along Venice Beach, sit on the beach listening to music, and enjoy the sunset. Start the night off right at The Victorian, then finish at No Vacancy, and in the early hours of the morning, head to a rooftop to appreciate the beautiful city of LA at night.
Enjoying LA means being in the present moment and enjoying the strangeness, madness, and duality that exist in this city.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My parents, Gabby and Geovanni for supporting me in this dream from the very beginning; my sister, Gali, for being my anchor to reality and never giving up on the dream; my girlfriend, Michel, who has been my muse and emotional support; my family, who listen to and share my art; my friends, who are always at my gigs, who listen to my music to critique it and love it; my record label, Above The Noon, and my school, Point Blank LA, where I learned so much from its teachers and staff: Jay, Daniel, Sergio, Tom, and Adal.
