We had the good fortune of connecting with Gihan Manzueta and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Gihan, what matters most to you?
Being impeccable with my word. The lesson behind keeping your word is valuable due to honesty but also, transparency. Honesty is answering a question truthfully. Transparency is giving the answer without being asked which shows openness and vulnerability. Most importantly, being impeccable with your word is not about others but about yourself. Keeping a promise to yourself is more difficult and easier for you to break and dismiss. Being impeccable with your word will keep you focused on the goals you set, teach you to set boundaries, and teach you to love yourself deeply. When you keep your word to yourself, you are able to be a better person for others.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
As a Spiritual Transformational Coach I am most excited about the immediate change in my clients once they understand the power they have within. The women I have worked with have been able to make the necessary mindset shifts to begin the careers of their dreams, pivot to new career paths, organize their homes, find community and/or manifest the relationship they have always wanted. I arrived at this stage professionally by being authentic with my story. Leaving the corporate world after over 16 years took a leap of faith and the journey was not easy but every part of the story was necessary. What I learned along the way helped me create the programs and workshops to help women in their walk through this life. The challenges I faced due to race, being a woman, a young mother has propelled me to create guide maps for the next woman who is trying to find her way. If I can impart what I have learned along the way it would be, that you can create a beautiful abundant life for yourself. When you realize your purpose is your story the journey becomes empowering. You start understanding your purpose when you begin healing the wounds of your past. You no longer live in the past therefore take the time to heal, unlearn and use your gifts to help your fellow human then the abundance will follow.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
No recommendation at the moment, except to try to spend a little time outdoors since we are restricted right now. If a friend was to visit I would love to go biking, hiking or take a Vixen Workout class in the park. I am also ok with staying in cooking and watching great movies.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would love to dedicate my shoutout to my husband Delson Manzueta for his love and support. As you transform as an individual it is pivotal to have a partner who pushes you forward and encourages you every step of the way. I am blessed to have him.
