We had the good fortune of connecting with Gio Bravo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Gio, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
“Omnia Mutantur” is without a doubt my life motto, it means “Everything Changes” in Latin.

I am a big believer of this, I think if you are not changing, if your environment is changing, than you are not growing.
And as human beings we should always be looking to grow, and even more so when you are an artist.

When things get tough, i also remember that Everything Changes, and that things wont be tough forever, it helps keep going, and when things are going great, I remember then too, that Everything Changes, and it makes me appreciate the good moments, that much more.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Im a singer and songwriter. And im a very prideful person, I love what I do and have so much fun do it! There’s no greater feeling for me, than to hear my finished productions and think to myself “yeah, I did that!” lol

In the words of Drake, “I haven’t hit the pinnacles I plan to reach,”
But, Im consistent. i show up everyday and try to give it my all.
I have been blessed with so many small achievements, that push me toward success.
Its not easy, at all, I work 18 hr days, Mon-Fri, I strive to perfect my craft, I pour my heart and soul into every project,
I do, and i think thats important, to show up and be consistent in that. In my opinion thats half the battle.

I think the biggest lesson i have learned in this journey, thus far, is patience.
When i first started my music career, I wanted to swallow the world in one big bite,
But I was quickly brought back down to earth, and realized that this is a journey, not a marathon.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
For breakfast, of course I would make chilaquiles, What kind of host would I be if i didn’t cook a little. After breakfast,
We would definitely hit up the beach, as I love it.
For lunch We would go eat Korean BBQ
After lunch, one of my favorite things to do is go to a drive in theatre.
Lastly, Without a doubt we would go to this one street taco spot, in Inglewood, that i really love,

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would love to dedicate my Shoutout to my first true love, We’ll call her Charlie lol

She has been such a fundamental part of the last 7 years of my life,
It’s hard to imagine the idea of all these accomplishments, without her.
When I simultaneously began both my Gender transition, as well as my music, Charlie was my back bone on so many different levels, including emotionally, financially, and physically. Becoming an artist is a journey, a rather expensive one if i might add lol
When I couldn’t make certain things happen, She always had my back.

We shared so many adventures throughout this whole growth and dream chasing process, I couldn’t have done it without her. She became my muse and inspired me in a lot of different ways.

So even though, We are not together anymore, Her role and time in my life has truly made a lifelong impact,
And i’ll always be grateful to her for that.
