We had the good fortune of connecting with Gloria Sol and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Gloria, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I’ve always enjoyed making others smile or laugh so it feels to me as If I receive something in return, a sense of purpose. I was about 9 years old when I knew I wanted to sing and be involved in music. I realized that it gave me the same feeling of purpose, at the same time doing something I absolutely love, and using my talent for that purpose of helping others experience their emotions through music.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I feel like music is such a universal language. You can feel an emotion through the sound and not even understand the lyrics. Because music is constantly changing, it gives opportunity to keep evolving as an artist. It motivates me to want to try new sounds and accomplish more with music. Being able to sing different generes that blend well with my vocal tone, I think that’s where I am able to stand out so I don’t have to stick to only one genere. There’s definitely a lot of obstacles that come with this choice of career, but learning to go with the flow of things helps go through the journey a bit easier. With this, It’s really easy to get lost within the mental side of it, which doesn’t help to keep moving forward. Like most careers, It’s not easy, but if you learn how patience works with music, you can get farther in this game. I just want those to know that I sing to give back. I sincerely get the feeling of purpose when people reach out to tell me that I reminded them of their loved ones because I sang a certain song, or when they tell me that one of my songs is their favorite. So allowing me to share my talent is living out my purpose.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I will always do food first! Let’s go eat and we can plan out that itinerary. Call everyone that’s fun and go with the flowwwww!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
