Hi Harmony Speech Therapy & Diagnostics, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
When we began our journey in opening our practice, we have two goals in mind: first was to create a space where our consumers would receive tailored and evidence based clinical treatment. We wanted every family to receive the best care and tools to support their loved ones at home, outside of the therapy room, and to be treated by the best and highly trained clinicians in the community.

Second, was to create a space where our clinicians and team members would enjoy working, feel supported and have intrinsic motivation to advance, learn, and bring their best self to the therapy room each day.

Our ultimate goal is to create a holistic and multidisciplinary practice, including Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Child Development Therapy, Physical Therapy, group sessions, yoga and aromatherapy, and other related services.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
We take pride in treating every family and individual that walks through our doors as family and worthy of individualized care. We believe this sets us apart in the industry. When we began our journey as owners of Harmony Speech Therapy we had a blueprint in mind and big goals. We knew that the business we wanted to build would take time to build we were in it for the long haul. We are so proud of how far we have come in the past 9 years as a team and continue to grow as a company.

It was not easy to get to where we are today, as we are speech pathologists and do not have business degrees. It is incredible the amount of information one needs to know, and learn going through the process of building a business. We overcame all the challenges we faced with a growth mindset, and knowing that we can learn what we don’t know and can ask for help when we need it.

The most important lesson we have learned is to be patient, be solution oriented and support each other in the ups and downs.

For us, our brand has, is will always be about integrity and professionalism.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Los Angeles is such a wonderful, vivid and diverse community with so many fun and exciting things to do and places to eat and see. We love nature, so when we have visitors from out of town, we love taking them on hikes in the Malibu mountains, later eating some local seafood, then of course visiting the iconic Santa Monica beach pier. Hollywood is so iconic, so of course we would act as as “tourists” for the day and show our loved ones around town. One of our new favorite restaurants is RDEN, right across the street from the famous Pantages Theater.

Glendale is such a hot spot right now! Our favorite places to wine and dine are Seaweed sushi and The Brandy, both on Brand Blvd.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
We would like to dedicate this shoutout to our families, who have supported us from day one and are our biggest fans!
