We had the good fortune of connecting with Haze Amor and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Haze, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I’m all for risk. It’s safe to say I identify with the no risk, no reward crowd. There hasn’t been an instant yet where I’ve regretted risk that I’ve taken. It either panned out, or I was able to gain clarity and take notes of the lesson in the risk and move forward with more insight.

What should our readers know about your business?
We can talk about So(U)l Smoothies all day long! I’m most proud of my consistency with being able to deliver a product that the people enjoy and share with their families. I’m most excited about my participating in upcoming pop-ups and adding people to the squad that want to assist in expanding. I got to where I was today by saying yes to an opportunity that I was already wanting to explore and now I didn’t have any excuse so I went with it and stuck with delivering something that I love and can honestly stand by at any given time. I wouldn’t say it was easy, but I genuinely enjoy the process of what I do so that makes it easy to get into the groove of what of I’m doing. A few lessons I’ve learned along the way is it pays to be kind. When others use their voice to uplift your character as person, it spreads to more than the ears of the few you think will hear it. I’e had customers tell me they’ve heard about me at a housewarming and was recommended to try! When you show up for yourself others will make it a point to support you. There have been a few Sundays where I almost let my thoughts get the best of me because I thought I wasn’t ready, and I went anyway and my day was better for it.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My best friend knows I’m a self-care queen so we would be doing all wellness based things.

Day-1(Sun.)
We can kickstart this trip by making a beeline to my smoothie stand which is a Sunday special located on Larchmont. After
we unpack and settle in its only right to take you by one my fav comfort food spots on Fairfax. If you like Ethiopian food you’ll have no complaints once we pull up to Merkato. I get the Asa tibs every single time and they never disappoint.

Day-2(Mon.)
We are gonna be typical fit LA girls and go for a hike. I’ll try to convince her to conquer Griffith park and their hills with those intense inclines, and knowing her we’ll probably end up at Runyon so she can see the Hollywood sign but I know a tricky trail over there too. Then I’d probably make us a couple of So(U)l Smoothies, and head to a park. For dinner we deserve lots of carbs so to Supremo we go, this nice Italian spot right off La Brea.

Day-3(Tues.)
Hiking was fun yesterday but today we need to chill. Starting with some at home girly pop training from my personal trainer Tay Hall. Followed by yoga with a smoothie on the side. We would ride to over to Angels on Earth and acquire a few crystals for the road. It’s taco Tuesday so we’re going to Tamix taco truck for some street tacos.

Day-4 (Wed.)
Wednesday is my unwind day so after we do our at home girly pop work out, to the spa we go! I like Wi Spa, their rooftop terrace is an underrated perk. They have so many amenities to take advantage of we could literally spend all day there including food they can prepare for you fresh on the spot.

Day-5(Thurs.)
As we creep into the weekend we def have to get another nice hike in but we can switch the views up and hit Kenneth Hahn park, then Met her at a bar for breakfast ( I love their waffle and berries!). I love thrifting, so we can hit the shops on Melrose like 2nd street. Also Goodwill will always have my heart, I always manage to find a gem or 2 in there. For dinner there’s this intimate spot on W. 3rd called Bacari with a tapas inspired menu.

Day-6(Fri.)
While on the west a beach trip is vital! Santa Monica beach, here we come! It’s nice to soak up some sun and catch up on a good book. Dinner date with the bestie looks like Colori Kitchen, (we love pasta over here!) they have such a solid menu that offers vegan options as well.

Day-7(Sat.)
On Saturdays we slay with Tay and the girly pops. We start our day with an outdoor all women workout. After we typically head to Lo/Cal for a latte and some time catch up/plan our week. The Grove isn’t too far away so we can enjoy our time at their Barnes and Nobles bookstore among the shops and tons of food options at the farmers market before we drop our bestie off at the airport.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The first person that comes to mind is Akira Robinson, the person who recommended me for this opportunity! The next person who comes to mind is my mom. She is my silent shield that helps build my fortitude with her honesty. Without a doubt she is the first person I call with any news and everything in between.
