Meet Hazel Veras | Mother, Teacher, Energy and Education Philanthropist, Gardener, Homesteader

We had the good fortune of connecting with Hazel Veras and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Hazel, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
In 2020 I started on my awakening journey. At the time I was working for the New York City Department of Education as a Literacy coach and was well on my way to becoming and Assistant principal. When we were forced to close due to covid something shifted in me. I started to see the true reality of the school system in a way I hadn’t before. I started to see the raw real truth as I got a peek into so many students everyday lives via zoom. I started to noticed how we were being told to work as we usually did in school but not it would be virtual.
I witnessed how students tried to” learn ” during such a stressful time. I saw how they lived, how tired they were, how scared they looked. I could no longer keep it going as business as usual. I too was very stressed and scared and I started to wonder who is asking these families, kids, and guardians how are they feeling? How are they handling everything? I thought for sure the school system will implement some kind of emotional/mental health coping strategies, but all I heard was business as usual.
I remember a day when I was asked by the school principal to give a virtual Professional Development on Guided Reading and I snapped. I was so upset because right then and there I realized that no one cared! The only important thing was getting these kids to read and perform on assessments. I stood up and let her know that I was no longer in the business of causing stress or adding stress to teachers or students for that matter. That moment awakened something in me and I was never the same. I was just so saddened by the fact that we are so disconnected with our selves and our divinity.
So in 2021 I decided to leave an 18 year career and I quit! I left my pension, my tenure I left everything! I took what was left of 2021 and 2022 to be home and heal. During that time I was divinely guided to open Nuna 5D Community PEA. I wanted to create an environment where children can be children. A place where they can move through the Septenniums with support, guidance and love. Once I got over the fear I started to let my inner voice, my intuition take over.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
The work that I do with the children at Nuna 5D is very energetic. I am able to get to know each child on an energetic level which intern helps me see them completely. This helps me guide them on in their human journey while they navigate this world and their wonderful gifts and abilities. I know that each child is born with a special purpose and I provide a space where they are free to explore their likes, dislikes through different actives and tasks. There is no manual for this work as it is divinely guided. As I work on myself I am better able to guide and assist our children.
Along the way I have learned that the children being born now are so special because they come knowing their purpose and abilities. They just need the time, space, support, and love to see it through. This is not easy work. I learned that anyone who wants to work with children must do their inner work. I see children as pure love as they do not live in polarity and can see all. I know that all children have the divine right to follow their own path, to be different and not become that which we want them to be. I honor the fact that each soul has to be given the opportunity to express themselves in their own individual way. My role is to nurture, guide, and facilitate the process of becoming your higher self and slowly step into each new phase of life. The world is a reflection for each child, and we understand that they do not yet know that they have and are in their energy field.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My family, my husband, my mom and my children are by far my biggest Supporters. I want to also give special thanks to Marcia Campos who has been such a blessing since I met her, she is part of my soul family.
