We had the good fortune of connecting with Iyanna & Lana and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Iyanna & Lana, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Funny story, we actually started as interns at the same start-up beauty company and we grew into leadership roles where we’re both overseeing the brand’s two influencer communities. Influencer marketing had just started taking off full-speed when we started and we were learning all about collaboration and partnerships, but we were having the most fun meeting influencers and getting to know them! We’ve always been inspired by the hard work influencers put into content creation and working partnerships and we’ve loved being able to collaborate with them through the brand. We got to see the full circle of what collaboration looks like and the opportunities that influencers can obtain. We believe that any influencer can become the face of a campaign with their dream brand or achieve any goal they desire, so we want to help them do just that! We launched Innersocial PR to help influencers connect with brands they love and with our experience on the other side of it all, we know how to advise our influencers to gain the best fit partnership opportunities. It’s been really fun building something of our own and bringing our influencer and brand connections together into our own inner circle.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Innersocial PR is an Influencer and Brand Management Agency. We represent content creators and we manage all of the back-end work of their brand-partnerships. We help get them connected with brands, organize PR giftings, and coordinate organic and paid collaborations. We also work with brands and businesses to help with social media management and grow their communities. We create social media graphics, plan and publish content, and outreach to influencers to build relationships and generate organic buzz about their products or business. We love working with a variety of types of brands and helping them find their niche on social.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If our besties came to Sacramento, we’d definitely take them out in Midtown! We’d grab coffee at Philz, shop around the cute local boutiques, and grab lunch and drinks at our favorite spots. We’d go to Darling Avery for a rooftop happy hour vibe and to get the best view of the city. The next day we’d stroll through Old Sac and visit the local restaurants and bars for the day!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
We really look up to other Women Entrepreneurs and women-led brands and businesses. When we were starting our agency, we reached out to Ali Grant, the founder of Be Social Group, who was kind enough to speak to us and answer ALL of our questions about the industry and gave some of the best advice for what leads to success. We hope that our agency becomes as influential as hers! We would love to mentor other aspiring entrepreneurs one day as well.
