We had the good fortune of connecting with Jackson Tiller and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jackson, how do you think about risk?
Taking risks has been the most common theme in my life when it comes to my career. I originally went to college to be a nurse. While at school I took the risk from moving out of the medical field to taking on an arts career. I took a risk by packing up all my belongings and moving from North Carolina to Los Angeles 13 years ago. And most recently i took a risk to quit my job as the COO of a cannabis company to full embrace this new life as a working actor.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am an actor. I get most excited about working with amazing groups of people. While at the same time getting to step into the whole mindset of a differant individual. Breathing life into these charecters day to day is a great thrill. Even more exciting when you are working with good people who push you to make differant choices that maybe you would not have thought of before that. I cant say getting where i am was easy. Honestly it sucked more often than not. trying to work in an industry where 99% of what you hear about whther you go a part or not is no or even more often you hear nothing. It can be very demoralizing and suck the fun out. IF your smart you grow tough skin and just push through. Id be lying if i said that i hadnt tried to quit quite a few times. Deciding that maybe it was time to quit chasing this silly dream and move on. But each time i told myself just a little while longer. Just a bit more. Then finally a break through. then another and now we have made it here. Cant say i know what happens next but im enjoying the ride. I guess ive learned its never to late for things to take off. We can be our own worst critics but sometimes it is a process. Just keep pushing.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Honestly we would do a few things inside the city and a few things out. Hit the museums Getty, Getty villa, Natural history. We would def go to Malibu Griffith observatory. Food there are so many amazing options. Met him at a bar/ Met her at a bar are two of my favorite restaurants off LaBrea ave. Outside the city def have to drive up to mammoth lakes, Yosemite, big bear. So much amazing outdoors stuff all with their own food and drinks. California has so much to offer i think we could just a direction and just start a road trip. Anything would be successful.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I feel like i owe so much of my success to so many people throughout the years that its hard to recognize just one person so ill give 3 of the most influential people to helping me get where i am today. My mother. She has always allowed me to make my own choices and to chase this crazy dream even though im sure there were times where it seemed like a bad choice. She’s never questioned my decisions and since i was a child has been the one person i could always count on. second would be my wife Brittany. She has been the most supportive and loving person. She holds down the house when im long days filming. She’s everything i needed in life that i never knew i needed. 3rd would be my good friend and old professor Peter Savage. He was teaching me a basic level theatre class in college. His love and enthusiasm for his craft drew me in and he saw something in me that i didn’t even know i wanted. He guided me through a rough time of transition in my life and i will be forever grateful that he came into my life
