Hi Jai’Lyn, what habits do you feel helped you succeed?
The habits I feel that has helped me succeed are creating morning routine , being consistent , and proper planning. For me creating a morning routine has been my holy grail. I like to start my day with meditation and intention setting which allows me to be grounded and focused. Secondly , being consistent with my goals allow me to have a clear and precise understanding of what I desire to accomplish. Lastly , proper planning with creating content keeps me on track with social media posts and keeping my ideas fresh and innovative . My favorite motto is ” Stay ready so you never have to get ready”.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My business is called The Chocolate Box. We are a fashion accessory boutique that specialize in “bohemian glam” style jewelry , handbags , fedoras etc. One thing that sets us apart from other boutiques is that we are eco friendly being that our handbags are vegan leather and we use recycled material within our packaging. Our jewelry pieces are carefully designed with durability , versatility and quality in mind. We make items for the everyday woman that still want to look her best without breaking the bank.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my friend was visiting I would take them to one of my favorite rooftop restaurant Mama Shelter! Its located in the heart od Hollywood and the view is immaculate! They have the best truffle fries in the city. That would be followed by a chill night at Dockweiler Beach where we can make s’mores on the pits and enjoy the sunset and sounds of the waves . Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My recognition goes to all the strong women in my life which includes my mother , sisters and close girlfriends . They are very influential women in my life that keep me focused and motivated to persevere through difficult times. They’re always available to lend a helping hand or give me encouragement . I would also like to give recognition to the Miss Black Texas pageant organization. I competed in 2013 as Miss Black Southeast Texas and it was one of the greatest highlights of my life. Pageantry revealed a side of the that is ambitious , charming and dedicated. Til this day those are my strongest core qualities. Although I didn’t take home the crown I gained a magnitude of personal development and confidence within my self .
