We had the good fortune of connecting with Jaime Hunter or (hunnaRIP) and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jaime, let’s talk legacy – what do you want yours to be?
Being remembered as a musician isn’t at the top of my list. Being remembered as who I am internally is far more important.
I put my heart into everything I do.
I share my heart with those I’m around.
Everything is to be cherished.
Everyone has a heart.

I want to be remembered as love.
My music tells a story of love and desire.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I like to think my music is a sequence of events which tell its own unique story. Much like Picasso.
Except I’m skipping out on the ‘Blue Period’.
From a listeners standpoint my songs are pure, and up-lifting.
It took time to develop the sound, the vibe, etc.
I worked for it.
I worked for every inch.
Of course there were bumps along the road, but you know that’s expected.
Once you’re over the bumps, it’s go time.
Over time, I’ve learned more about different aspects of the music industry.
More about marketing, to be specific.
More about brand enhancement.
It’s definitely a mandatory game to play, in todays age.
I’ve built hunnaRIP from scratch.
And the funny thing is, I knew I would rise from day one.
The label is coming soon.
I have to complete the first act, then comes the next.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There’s a lot of great food in my area. But to be honest, I stick to my favorite few.
I love Thai food.
So there’s a place in Agoura Hills I would go to called Exotic Thai Cafe. I would order the spicy beef salad. Can’t forget the Thai tea to go along with that.
We would hang out at The Commons, and probably order a few drinks at Marmalade Cafe, see a movie afterwards.
Get home, record some music, etc.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to start by thanking my mom. My momma made me a star.
Without her, I would probably still be a protostar or something.
I want to thank my dad for handing me the torch.
I want to give big shoutouts to my brothers Troy & Tory, who’ve been giving me huge support every step of the way.
Lastly, I want to thank myself for believing in me.

Shoutout to us!
