We had the good fortune of connecting with Jennifer Nolan and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jennifer, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
I love that my work allows people to feel seen. My work helps people see the beauty in their relationships and the value of the present moment, something that resonates deeply in a fast-paced world. By documenting love stories with care and authenticity, I give my clients and their families the ability to relive their most meaningful moments for a lifetime.

I’m also passionate about supporting other creatives whenever possible. I provide flexible options to past clients for family sessions and share education and guidance to help others navigate their celebrations with less stress and more joy. My goal is to create a ripple effect of positivity, allowing people to feel seen, valued, and celebrated through every image.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I photograph weddings with a deep sense of presence, always looking for the story beneath the surface. I enter every wedding understanding that each day will be different. What sets my work apart is the approach I take, always prioritizing my clients’ needs and desires. I blend timeless composition with honest emotion, creating beautiful art while allowing them to be part of their memories.

I’m most proud of the trust my clients place in me to capture their sweetest memories and being able to use my art to leave an impact that is deeper than could be put into words. I’m honored every time someone allows me into such a personal, vulnerable part of their lives.

Getting to where I am today has been a journey of constant learning and intentional growth. It hasn’t always been easy. There were years of juggling motherhood, homeschooling, and late nights editing, all while refining my craft and building a business from the ground up. But I’ve learned that showing up with heart, listening well, and caring deeply about people will always set you apart. And those values have carried me through every step.

It truly is a work of heart.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
While I am no longer a local in Los Angeles, I was born and raised there. Griffith Observatory is my favorite places in the world! I have the sweetest memories going there growing up. I’d love to photograph there and create art. My brother lives in DTLA, and of course, I have to go and find the best taco trucks before heading over to the Staples Center and probably close out the night hanging out and having some late night snacks.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My mentors, Charla and Jenn at Develope Academy, have been an intricate part of my growth. Summer Brooke Photography for being my listening ear.
