We had the good fortune of connecting with Jessica Evans and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jessica, what is the most important factor behind your success?
I am so excited to share this! The most important factor behind my success and the success of my brand L•🎙•V•E is the Never give up mindset! That no matter what you will see your dream become a reality!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?

Hi my name is Jessica Evans from Pasadena CA, and I am so excited to share about my music and what sets me apart!

Music has always been the center of my being! I watched artist who inspire me make it. I said to myself “I can too!”

I believe what sets me apart from others is staying true to my story and my authentic self. Knowing that I have the it factor too! Standing on the foundation of my family who have turned into my angles watching over me, and the legacy of my dad who was the Owner of Honeybaby’s Old Fashioned Teacakes, and always rocking the
L•🎙•V•E Mentality whether it be in creating new music, in business or in the classroom. I feel this sets me apart along with resiliency.

In January, I was featured in a article by Stamma UK where it highlighted my voice as a singer/songwriter/music artist/ educator and entrepreneur who stammers. Setting a reminder that no matter what Never mute your voice because it matters. This made me the most proud because I know the struggle it is to have a stammer and have your confidence affected!

It also made me the most proud because now that I have found my voice.. I never want to loose it. I want it to bring inspiration to others.

As a little girl I struggled with my voice, felt it didn’t need to be heard. I was dealing with so much including being shy and quiet but I knew greatness was waiting to be birthed.

When difficulty arose I would go up to my room and turn on the music and put my headphones on and sing to the top of my lungs. I would listen to Artists who inspire me.
One in particular, India Arie. I said to myself “when ever I am a songwriter and singer I want to create songs that have a message and a catchy beat!” India Arie has made a huge impact on my music and songwriting.

Later I wrote two songs that are available on iTunes, Spotify and all digital platforms. Titanium produced by Gabe Pigee and Cali Girl produced by Help Society Nola and John Eric Hetherington.

This Journey has not been easy at all, failed a bit got back up, through it all I was reminded of my greatness and what I am made of and that my purpose is bigger than me.

Then the L•🎙•V•E Brand was birthed. The letters stand for Limitless •Valuable•Excellence and the microphone stands for and is a reminder to never mute your voice because it matters. The L•🎙•V•E Brand specializes in the Limitless Tee. This Tee is designed to help you push past what may seem like a stumbling block and allow you to focus on who you were designed and created you to be: limitless.

I am not those things that tried to hinder my success and those things are not me!

I want to encourage readers all over the world that you are not bound to what limits you. You are made to be limitless and your voice and your story matter.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We would go to La Estella to eat authentic Mexican food, then go shopping at Glendale Galleria, then go to Disney Land, or Universal Studios, Go to staple center to catch a concert or Laker game, Then go to House of Blues Los Angeles to catch some good music or the Hollywood Bowl or LA Live , then go on a hike to the Hollywood sign. Then go to the Grammy museum, Then close out the trip by meeting some of my village, fam, and friends. Also a place I would take my friends is to my church!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My Dad, David Evans who’s Legacy lives on. He is looking down from up above proud! He was the owner of Honeybaby’s Old Fashioned Teacakes.

I also want to dedicate this article to my village who love on me, nurture me, mentor me and inspire me to be my best self! I could not have gotten this far without them!
