We had the good fortune of connecting with Joanne Rose and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Joanne, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
I meditate daily which centers me by going within. I have had countless ideas and inspiration come about as a result of a daily meditation practice. I also apply The Rule of 5 that Jack Canfield recommends, which states that you must do 5 things every day that lead you towards your goal. Daily walks in nature, reading inspiring books and listening to inspiring talks, surrounding myself with positive people are also good habits that I feel have played an important role in my life.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I write original female comedy scripts for Generation X women, by giving a strong voice to female characters. I am going into pre-production on my first feature length script, Life of Groupies in 2021. I have always marched to the beat of my own drum. I became a vegan in 1994. With any challenge, you can always take something good away from the experience, so I like to reflect on the teachings and make any necessary adjustments. Mentoring is good when you need to get back on track with your goal. My production company is Sweetest Pit Bull Productions. I want the world to know that female artists deserve a voice in the entertainment industry and I’ll happily embrace the role of writing good roles for older women.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well, because I live on the beautiful island of Maui, Hawaii, I’d take them to Spa Wellness at the Four Seasons in Wailea, Maui. We’d have a Hawaiian Lomi Mohala massage and dine at Duo’s by eating a delicious vegan meal from their wellness menu or enjoy the vegan Chocolate Avocado Mousse at Ferraro’s also at Four Seasons. We’d go to the Tropical Plantation in Wailuku and then see some live music or a movie.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d love to give a Shoutout to Randy Becker of NexTV Entertainment, Coverfly, ScreenCraft, Marie Forleo, my family and friends, The Success Principles by Jack Canfield, Abraham Hicks teachings.
