We had the good fortune of connecting with Jon Infanti and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jon, do you have any habits that you feel contribute to your effectiveness?
Creativity, flexibility, education, and happiness. Wrapping those up into one bundle has been the secret sauce. Being able to let the mind go wild and be creative keeps projects fresh and clients happy. The flexibility to work in different styles of design at different times of day has been key. Clients from the states or around the world can expect me to be attentive to them and hit deadlines on time, every time. You can never know everything about anything. I am constantly taking courses in person and online to further my knowledge of design. There are a ton of people fighting for clients and I want to be a step ahead of everyone. It’s all about keeping a smile on my face. This career makes me flat out happy. It’s awesome to be able to help people bring their ideas to life and watch their businesses flourish.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
JI Creative is a company I started in order to help my clients achieve their goals through creative, cost-efficient design solutions. I have successfully completed projects in print, digital, web, video, and social media formats. I take every project very seriously, whether it’s a complete branding identity project for a company or business, or a t-shirt design for an upcoming family reunion. The diversity in projects keeps my creative juices flowing and most importantly, makes things just plain fun. What sets JI Creative apart is the relationships I build with the client. I really like getting to know people, where they’re from, what makes them tick. Being able to build that bond helps connect with their business and what they’re trying to achieve. The friends I have made along the way are just as important as the project to me.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I live in Santa Monica and my life revolves around the ocean. I am an east coast transplant that made the migration out west 6 years ago in search of spicy waves and hot weather. I haven’t looked back! My favorite spots to catch some waves are County Line and El Porto. Always love to grab a 6 pack and throw it in the cooler for some suds on the beach in Santa Monica. I’m an outdoorsy kind of guy so you can find me on different hikes like Skull Rock, Runyon Canyon and Los Liones. I also really love the food and vibe at Clutch, great tex mex and cool little patio.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d love to give a big shout out to all my art teachers along the way, from middle school through college. Their passion and expertise has helped me become the designer and creative thinker I am today.
