We had the good fortune of connecting with Kassidy Slaughter and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kassidy, alright, let’s jump in with a deep one – what’s you’re definition for success?
I define success as something you feel on a personal level deep within. Each person has their own level in which they feel they have become successful or reached a point in which they are happy with the work they have done. I also find that success is not measured by the amount of work you’ve done, but how you’ve fulfilled your purpose in life.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Hi! It is a pleasure to meet you. My name is Kassidy Slaughter (or you can call me Kass), and I am an actress, creator, and overall creative enthusiast. For as long as I can remember, I have had a deep drive and love for the film industry and bringing a story to life for the screen. It has been my true, heartfelt passion for my entire life. Primarily, I enjoy acting and being in front of the camera. However, I also dabble in the filmmaking process and the behind-the-scenes action. I am currently a student at the Los Angeles Film School and I have absolutely loved learning more about what goes into a film that happens behind closed doors. I have created my own short films, one in which I created over the course of the pandemic, titled “Love, Josie.” This film took lots of time and discipline to create, and I am thankful for the experiences it taught me along the way. I have learned that no matter the challenge, you will always take something with you to make you stronger. Just recently, I costarred in an upcoming feature film for a TV Network that is supposed to air next year. I am completely thrilled for it, and I can’t wait for the world to see it. As I grow as an actress and creator, I want to use my platform to spread love, kindness, and mental health awareness all over the world.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If I had a friend visiting the city, I would love to give them a wonderful experience. I would take them to Universal Studios, go on some of the studio tours, take a hiking trail, visit the local cafes, and hang out at the beaches. Typically, I am based on the East Coast; but, these are my favorite things to do in Los Angeles!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I feel that actress Anne Hathaway deserves credit in my story. I look up to her not only as an actress, but as a human being living an experience on this earth. She has inspired me in ways beyond measure and I am beyond thankful for the light she has emitted into my life.
