We had the good fortune of connecting with Keishawn Blackstone and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Keishawn, how do you think about risk?
Risk’s, the one word many fear around me is simply opportunity within one’s self you are creating. The reality of life is when I became a serial entreprenuer/motion picture director and multi faceted creative the thoughts behind it weren’t how much am I risking or when should I start, it was how bad do you want it. not the fame or fortune but your freedom to express, create, build, open doors, inspire, lead, challenge, build-up, thrive. This is why I don’t care about the risks. If you love what you do you will never work a day in your life. In my career, I never been the average person to accept just what life has to offer. I always been an innovator of creativity and idea businessman to paving a road not just for me but for the generations to come. Fear isn’t an option when success is right in front of you. You learn to cope, conquer, Manifest, Grow and Connect through the process. Taking risk has played a role in making me the leader/businessman, creative artist that I am today.

What should our readers know about your business?
My companies Jabarri Marketing Agency (A Blackstone Company) has been a journey from the start of the pandemic. My agency which is a subsidiary of Tak3-One Productions follows the practices of some of the worlds leading Marketing Agencies. Starting the conglomerate was a challenge yet it took some tenacity and ambition. A day in the Agency life may be as busy as sending proposals out to clients to being in marketing Brand Strategy meetings to Producing and Directing Commercials for global brands. It’s truly a world that keeps you on your toes. Yeah there have been challenges from deadlines to business practices to balancing work life to personal life but along the way I have learned that you have you trust the process and trusting the process is key for success in business. Being an Agency Owner and FIlm Director is for sure a busy day in and day out lifestyle. These two worlds go into the brand story which is simple yet embedded to every client I work with which, everyone in the world will need marketing of some sort, from movies, commercials, products to music being a marketing strategist is a mirror of helping get the brand there to the next level. It’s not about how the agency processes its strategy but more so can we achieve what our clients want without breaking the bank and giving them dedicated solutions that will grow their brands and businesses to the next level.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Hmm on this one I would say I like new spots, being a LA native I have seen the pretty beaches and amazing sunsets, however some spots I would take my friend whose visiting this great spot in Malibu Mountains Hidden valley, there is an amazing wine tasting mountain there with a hotel with an infinity pool and the sunsets are off the charts. I love a good seafood dinner I would go to Joffrey’s restaurant in Malibu on any given night and recommend the lobster dinner or steak and lobster mashed potatoes dinner. For fun, I would take them to the go-kart track or show them the beaches and theme parks we have to offer along with old town San Diego. To cap it I would say an Amtrack trip along the coast while enjoying each coastal destination.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
