We had the good fortune of connecting with Kelly Horn and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kelly, we’d love to hear what makes you happy.
Seeing beautiful things and meeting new people makes me happy. Experiencing beauty whether in nature, art, when traveling or everyday moments helps me slow down and appreciate the world around me.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My art is all about capturing and romanticizing moments, whether that’s through modeling, photography, art, traveling or creating content. What makes my work different is that I get to experience it from both sides of the camera, which lets me bring a really personal touch to everything I do.

I’m most proud of being able to express myself through my art. There’s been a lot of self-doubt and learning as I go, but I trust my vision, and I like surrounding myself with people who lift me up.

I’ve learned to trust myself and be patient, even when it’s hard. I want to create a story and connection through what I make and post. I want to explore more of my own creativity while staying true to myself.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We’d start with some beach time, lying in the sun, and walking along the sand. I’d take them to the Queen Mary in Long Beach to check out the history, architecture, and maybe even a ghost tour if we’re feeling it. The Huntington Library and Gardens is somewhere I love to go, the gorgeous gardens and the art-filled library are such a peaceful, beautiful experience.

For food and drinks, I love to start my mornings with coffee at Pantheon Coffee and maybe a nice warm croissant. Later in the day, I like walking through art districts, local shops, and markets; it would be a nice moment.

I want a nice mix of relaxing and living in the moment.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
To my family, friends and my sweet love, thank you for always supporting me and believing in me. Without you in my life, I don’t know where I’d be. I love you all
