We had the good fortune of connecting with Kiamiccia Boone-Neal and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kiamiccia, how did you come up with the idea for your business?
It was actually my husband, friend, and I that was thinking about how to use what Im good at or something that I enjoy the most to create a business from it. I started out with modeling but due to the pandemic, it was tough to get into the modeling world with everything being shut down. So I thought of other things that I felt that I was good at or that I enjoyed and being a mom was what popped in my head. Then I thought of what service that I could provide. I thought back to me being a first time mom and what I needed the most and it was support. Then something clicked for me, I’m not the only mother out there who feels like they need support and not just from family and friends, (though its appreciated), but from people who are in my same position and that can relate. Mommy Chronicles llc, is a platform that I have created to connect mothers with each other through, IGTV live interviews from women discussing topics that other women can relate to, having clubhouse chats with other moms about the chronicles of a mom, through my “mom chat” on Instagram, my page @mommychroniclesllc on Instagram, and through my podcast “The Mom Circle.” Through this process of creating and growing my business I’ve discovered that this is my true calling. It feels amazing to help other women feel like they can be heard, and that they’re not alone.

What should our readers know about your business?
I am the owner of Mommy Chronicles llc where we create mom apparel for moms to showcase the chronicles that we go through as mothers. Under Mommy Chronicles are a series of resources being used by mothers across the country to aide them in their journey in motherhood. From first hand experiences, advice, educational information and more we provide a safe non judgmental space for mothers to come and feel like they have someone to listen to them and talk to. This journey has not been easy. There’s been moments of doubts and feelings of uncertainty or feeling unsure about if what I’m doing is helping anyone, if anyone sees me plenty of times. Then I remember how badly I needed something like this when I was pregnant with my first child and after I had him. It motivates me to keep going and understand that there are going to be some hard times but the return from all of the hard work and trials will pay off. I always tell myself that If I could just help one woman, then I know that Im doing something right. My dream is for Mommy Chronicles llc to grow so big that I can reach thousands of mothers and help then connect with one another to provide the ultimate level and support and a safe space where they feel like they belong.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I moved to California at the very end of 2019, Im talking end of December 2019. So I had about two months to attend a few things before the pandemic started. So far my favorite place to hit ups far is this restaurant called Secrets off of Hollywood blvd that my best friend introduced me to. They have good food, music, hookah, and vibes! Long Beach Harbor is another area that enjoy visiting because there’s so many activities to do like eat, the swan boats, or boats in general, bikes, and my favorite-shopping! If I want to go to the beach, I visit Laguna Beach. It is a ways away from me but its worth it. Things are finally starting to open back open so I’m getting to experience more of LA and I’m excited to see what it has to offer.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My support comes from my husband, family, friends, and Mommy Chronicles family. They push me and encourage me to keep chasing my goals and the things that I am passionate about. They send me motivating words and listen when I need to vent. What keeps me going are the messages and words that I receive from moms that remind why I started this in the first place. So I want to say thank you to the people in my life that give me the love and support that they do. It means the world to me and has helped me get to this level in my business that I’m at and I know it will help me to get to where I’m going.
