We had the good fortune of connecting with Lea Roman and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lea, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I believe risk taking is a part of life, IF you want to be successful. This applies to business and personal. Growing up, I always took risks, but I didn’t realize that’s what I was doing. I would take the road less traveled and march to the beat of a different drum. Sometimes the risks weren’t always followed by good outcomes, but there were and still are lessons behind every mistake!
If I never dived right in to situations, I wouldn’t have the experience or the hilarious stories to tell!
I think I thrive on risk taking. You never know unless you DO!
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I find myself to be unique in what I practice. I am a Beauty Therapist who beautifies women and lifts their spirits. I am also an actor and incorporate that skill into the videos I provide my clients to help them step into their power and learn how to take charge of their own beauty. I’m very proud of the fact that I went from being a stylist in a salon to a mentor for women who are searching for an alignment between inner and outer beauty. It wasn’t an easy path, in fact it’s still challenging at times. Women don’t always want to ask for help, especially when it comes to hair, makeup, or fashion. They think it’s too self centered or don’t have the time to pretty themselves up. I have to constantly search for new clients. Once
I’m trusted, they come to me for EVERYTHING. There is no hesitation. It’s just difficult to get women to believe that it’s ok to indulge in self care.
I want the world to know “The desire to feel beautiful is not vain.”
I want women to see my brand as a permission slip to love themselves and invest in the time to feel wonderful! Healing through beauty is a beautiful process and can bring some much peace. Especially in the age of social media and SO MUCH comparison. I encourage women to embrace the beauty they already possess and learn how to dress it up!
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
First and foremost, I’d love to take them to the Griffith Observatory! It’s AMAZING!! I’d also love to check out the Getty Museum. We would eventually head to Malibu for some wine tasting at Rosenthal. Then some lunch at Nobu! Yes!! We’d be doing ALL the things. I know my friend would want to try and catch a glimpse of a celebrity!! I’d also have to show her Hollywood Blvd. That place in itself is an amusement park! Haha!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Vondie Lozano is a wonderful person I’d love to give a shout-out too! She’s a hypnotherapist who transports you through your past live(s) and reveals your spirit council! Experiencing her sessions allowed me to open up and stop playing small.
I was able to understand my purpose in this life and heal any emotional pain I may have held on to.
