We had the good fortune of connecting with Leilani Lopez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Leilani, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Ever since I was a little girl I always wanted to be my own Boss! As I got older, I worked for others, worked 8-5pm and sat at a desk everyday until I realized God had different plans for me. At one of my worse times in life I decided to make a change. I was inspired and motivated by a friend of mine who had her own online fashion boutique so she led the way on how I can get started and since then I’ve been my own Boss.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Managing an online fashion boutique (Twice the Lovve Boutique) and hosting small business pop up events (Boss Babe Sunday) sounds fun and all but there is alot of challenges and dedication that come with it. What sets me apart from others is not only succeeding myself but seeing others succeeding with their small business. It brings joy to me not only to see myself but also seeing other small businesses prosper! I am where I am today because of motivation and consistency!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
There’s so many to list but for a quick local bite to eat I would take them to Bun Street in Covina. For a Summer night out I would head over to Moon Shadows for a beach front dinner and drinks. For some brunch and mimosas I would head over to OLA in Covina.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Let me start off by giving my husband a huge thank you. There was many times I wanted to give up my small business path and sometimes didn’t feel encouraged. If it wasn’t for the support he has given me through the years I don’t know if I’d be where I am today. Also a huge shout out to my mom who has never stop supporting my dreams! I really do have an amazing support team!
