We had the good fortune of connecting with Lia Saucedo Ulrich and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lia, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I knew I had to get the word out that there are Superfoods & Herbs Native to the land that assimilate with the body and heal from within. A lot of people get used to aches, pains and diseases when they should be combating it with water and alkaline herbs. When disease was consuming my body and life I researched, studied and found herbalism. As I started practicing herbaliszm and feeling great, I started helping others and just knew I needed to reach as many people as possible so they can also feel better and heal.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My work includes teaching people about native herbs and superfoods that are non hybrid and help the body heal itself. Our bodies are designed to heal themselves if the right conditions are provided. The biggest challenge is convincing people that natural herbs and superfoods are just as or even more affective than some chemical medications. Before herbalism was outlawed in the late 1850-1900’s we only used herbs, water and superfoods to heal our bodies. I’d like help reaching our communities to help educate people about herbalism and how the foods we ingest affect our health.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My favorite things to do are study Medicinal plants. I love to watch documentaries about foods, herbs and how our economy is affected by food choices. We love to play board games and visit beaches during family outings.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to mention my husband, children and mother for supporting me and the countless hours of studying, working with clients and filling orders. With the support of my loving family our business continues to grow and flourish. I’d also like to mention that Dr. Sebi’s teachings opened my eyes to herbalism and alkaline eating/lifestyle.
