Hi Lily, why did you pursue a creative career?
I pursued an artistic or creative career because of my deep passion for self-expression and the desire to explore the boundless possibilities of imagination. There are several reasons why I chose this path:

1. Personal Fulfillment: Engaging in artistic and creative pursuits allows me to tap into my innermost thoughts, emotions, and ideas. It provides a means to express myself authentically and connect with others on a deeper level. The act of creating something unique and meaningful brings me immense joy and a sense of fulfillment.

2. Freedom of Expression: Artistic and creative careers offer a platform for unrestricted self-expression. They provide a space where I can communicate my thoughts, beliefs, and experiences in a way that transcends traditional boundaries. Whether it’s through visual arts, writing, music, or other forms, I can freely convey my perspective and evoke emotions in others.

3. Making an Impact: Art has the power to inspire, provoke thought, and evoke change. Through my creative work, I aspire to make a positive impact on individuals and society as a whole. Art can challenge norms, address social issues, and stimulate dialogue, fostering a greater understanding and empathy among people.

4. Constant Learning and Growth: Pursuing an artistic or creative career is a lifelong journey of learning and growth. It encourages me to continuously explore new techniques, experiment with different mediums, and push the boundaries of my creativity. This constant evolution fuels my passion and drives me to become a better artist.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My art is a unique expression of my perspective. I strive to differentiate myself by bringing authenticity and depth to my work. I take pride and find excitement in evoking emotions through my art and witnessing the impact it has on viewers.

My professional journey was not easy. I faced challenges such as self-doubt, financial struggles, and fear of rejection. However, I overcame these obstacles by being resilient, seeking inspiration from various sources, and surrounding myself with a supportive community.

Along the way, I have learned valuable lessons, including the transformative power of art for introspection and social change. I have also realized that success is not solely measured by external recognition but by the impact the work has on others’ lives.

In terms of my brand and story, I want the world to know that my art reflects my personal journey. It is an invitation to explore life’s complexities, embrace imperfections, and find solace in beauty. I aim to leave a lasting impression, inspire creativity, and spark meaningful conversations.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If one of my best friends was in LA visiting me I would have every day planned out so that we could have the absolute best experiences together. Here’s a breakdown of the activities I would suggest.

1. Desert High DTLA: Starting with a private tour of my Stained Collection at Desert High DTLA because that would be on top of their list of to-do’s for sure. We would enjoy a delicious tea or coffee and possibly Hookah while surrounded by my art.

2. Local art galleries: Los Angeles has a vibrant art scene, so exploring other art galleries in the area would be a great way to immerse ourselves in the city’s creative culture. There are numerous galleries throughout the city, each with its own unique style and exhibits.

3. Live music events: Los Angeles is known for its live music scene, with a variety of venues catering to different genres. So I would definitely be taking my friend to a live music event which would be a fantastic way to experience the city’s vibrant nightlife and enjoy some great performances.

4. Favorite restaurants: Los Angeles is a culinary hotspot with a diverse range of dining options. Taking my friends to my favorite restaurants would be a wonderful way to treat them to delicious food and introduce them to local flavors.

5. LA Live: Visiting LA Live is a perfect addition to my itinerary, especially if we are going during the winter season when ice skating is available. Enjoying some ice skating followed by drinks or catching a live show will add a touch of excitement and entertainment to our day.

6. Marina and beachside fun: Heading to the Marina and enjoying the beachside atmosphere is a great way to relax and have fun. The Venice Whaler and Baja Cantina are both excellent choices for grabbing a bite to eat and enjoying drinks. The lively atmosphere and ocean views will surely make for a memorable experience.

7. Fun night at home: After a busy day exploring the city, having a cozy night at home will be a great way to wind down. I love cooking for my friends so that we can spend quality time catching up and enjoying each other’s company. Ending the night with a great movie and deep conversations.

Overall, my itinerary combines a mix of cultural experiences, culinary delights, and relaxation, creating a well-rounded and enjoyable visit for my best friend.

I am profoundly grateful for the unwavering support and encouragement I receive from my friends and family, who have been instrumental in fueling my creative endeavors. Additionally, I would like to extend my heartfelt appreciation to the individuals who have graciously provided me with opportunities to showcase my work in extraordinary venues, including MRG Fine Art Studio, The Glenmark Hotel, and most recently, High Desert DTLA, where my current collection is proudly exhibited. It is through boundless love, unwavering support, and positive energy that I have been able to live out my dream as an artist and creator of fine art. Lastly, I want to express my deepest gratitude to the incredible individuals who not only appreciate but collect my art, particularly the vibrant communities of Granite Bay, Marina Del Rey, and Los Angeles, whose profound admiration for my work serves as an endless source of inspiration.
