Meet Liv Pearsall | Content Creator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Liv Pearsall and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Liv, is there something you can share with us that those outside of the industry might not be aware of?
While being a content creator is 100% EASIER than a normal 9-5 (people who say it’s harder are either lying or have never worked a 9-5!), it most certainly comes with challenges unique to the industry. Nothing could have prepared me for what it would be like to have millions of followers! The hate. The support. The recognition. The sudden invites to parties that seem WAY out of my league. Imposter syndrome. The inability to “turn off” the content-focused side of my brain. Everyone has an opinion on how I’m using my platform &, to be honest, I am still wrestling with that fact. It can be very mentally taxing! What other non-entertainment-based careers have thousands of unqualified people weighing in on YOUR career? I am still in the process of learning how to not care about how others view me & my journey, and how to prioritize the right perspectives in my life. In summary, I think outsiders of the industry don’t realize the unique mental strain the life of an internet creator can bring.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’ve made very calculated decisions along my whole artistic journey to get me where I am today. While my videos may seem quirky and spontaneous (& sometimes they are), many of the choices I make are a result of my account’s data I analyze. I actually have my Bachelor’s degree in Applied Math (data) so it makes a lot of sense that even the art in my life would be somewhat analytical. I want the world to know that every piece of video content I put out is carefully crafted for a purpose. Whether it’s to encourage healthy living, make someone laugh, make a commentary on something etc, I want my platform/account to make a difference. I have the unique privilege of 3.7M followers – so how am I going to use it? I want to spread love & joy. Acceptance. Peace. Inclusion. Is it challenging? Yes. But is it rewarding? Also yes.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Welcome to Los Angeles, friend! We’ll start by going to the beach in Santa Monica. I packed us a picnic lunch with breads and cheeses. We’ll bring a volleyball, towels, sunscreen, journals, books, a speaker and waters. Take a relaxing couple of hours to ourselves, lounging on the sands, playing in the waves… you’re never too old to play. When we’re done we’ll go back home & get dressed up for a premiere tonight! You’re my +1 ;). We’ll put on fancy dresses & go watch a new movie by some studio. Maybe the cast & director will come out? Maybe an after party with music & dancing? Maybe some friends of mine will be there & I can introduce you? Welcome to my life – it’s SO wild but so fun.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would attribute much of my success to my family, my faith & my followers. My family has always been so encouraging & supportive of my journey & if didn’t feel that unconditional support, I probably would have felt less inclined to keep at it. My mom watches my YouTube sketches every Wednesday. I call my sisters to ask for video ideas. My brother-in-law has been characters in some of my vids. My other brother-in-law has helped me process some of the mental strain social media has brought me. Their support means the world to me & I wouldn’t be where I am without them. Secondly, my faith in God has grounded myself & my content in a way that cannot be manufactured. When views are low or brand deals aren’t coming in, I can stay level-headed because I know that is not where my worth is found. I owe all of my success to the LORD – every good thing in my life has come from Him & I mean that so literally. Finally, I physically would not be at the level of success that I’m at if it wasn’t for the fans that have faithfully watched my content. Having consistent viewership from people all across the globe has allowed me the privilege of quitting my job & pursuing content full-time! Not to mention, the loving support & kind words I’ve felt from them have kept my going internally. Since content is so creative (literally… CREATING), so much of my success is dependent on the people in my life who lift me up mentally and emotionally. So to me, I have my family, friends, faith and followers/fans to thank. … it’s a coincidence that they all start with F.
