We had the good fortune of connecting with Liz Lopez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Liz, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
I actually have a favorite bible verse. It comes from Proverbs 3:15. “She is more precious than jewels, and nothing you desire can compare with her.” I love this bible verse so much I actually implemented it and made it a part of my brand. I made it a staple on some of my marketing because I want to shed light to those who are insecure about how they look or who they are.
In God’s eyes we are all precious, far more precious than jewels.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’ve always been into the beauty industry. I started off as a self taught makeup artist. I then proceeded to take a professional makeup class. I got my certificate and I decided to expand my knowledge in the beauty community. I started an Esthetician course a few months back. I will be done with the program within the next couple of months. I fell in love with skin care and I decided to pursue a career as an Esthetician. It has not been easy, there has been a few road blocks and obstacles that have almost made me quick, however, I persevered. I am still standing strong, regardless of the trials and tribulations that come my way. I have passion, I believe that is what has allowed me to stay standing and not give up. I want to make a difference in my life and in my community. I want people to know me as the woman with passion and perseverance who kept on going despite the struggles.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well, I’m not too adventurous so I would keep it pretty simple. My best friend and I do love to eat though. We really enjoy a place in LA called Tamales Liliana’s. We have been going to that place for years. We also love to just have a nice girls night at Chili’s, cant beat that 3 for 10 lol. We love filming Mukbangs (eating shows) on my Youtube channel (LizLo Style) as well when we get a chance. We watch a movie here and there and we basically just like to hang out. We plan on taking a vacation in Mexico soon to celebrate our 22nd anniversary of our friendship.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First and foremost, the Glory will always be to God. Also my mother has always been my biggest cheerleader. She supports me in everything I do. My family is my biggest support. My best friend Jenny is one of my biggest supporters that keeps it so real with me, even when I don’t want to hear it. There is more than just one person I owe my success to and they are the people that are the closest to me. My parents, Silvia and Javier, my siblings, Silvia, Harvey, Sharon, my best friend Jenny, and my Pastors Eddie and Yeimi.
