We had the good fortune of connecting with Luretha Davidson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Luretha, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
I believe the most important factors behind the success of my brand is to just show my appreciation to the city I was born and raised in. I believe there are many dope creatives in my city and I am here to get it more out there.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Well, I do work at Zara Inc. I have been there for some time now. I am a sales associate. It can be very difficult at times because it gets really busy and crazy. I tend to overcome it just by doing the work taking deep breaths and just getting through the day to be honest. Lessons I’ve learn is that not everyone is honestly polite and you just have to take that in. Creatively, I do have a page on Instagram called “southcentralwave” and it’s basically a street style page for Los Angeles locals. The challenges I’ve face with that is that you have to be very consistent. Consistency is the key. Also you have to promote, promote yourself and your brand.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Honestly. I love the “Rose Garden” it’s near USC. It’s so beautiful especially now during the Spring. It’s just a peaceful place to go, as well as the beach. For a good time I usually go to this Club which is really fun on taco Tuesday called the “Savoy Entertainment” it’s really fun in Inglewood California or “Blue-moon hookah Lounge” which is located downtown Los Angeles. Art Museums are cool place to go as well.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would love to shout-out my city Los Angeles California. Born and raised in South Central California. I would also like to give a shout-out to all the creatives and my wonderful creative friend whom refer me to you guys Jasmine Johnson. Thank you.
