We had the good fortune of connecting with Maia and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Maia, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
One of my favorite quotes is, “Be at your best when your best is needed.” by John Wooden. I love this quote because I strive to apply my best in all areas of my life. I take my failures as lessons. Being the best version of myself takes a lot of work and I continue to grow each day to be better than the last. I love to say, “I know my lane.” Knowing my strengths gives me the confidence to be at my best in all situations. When I’m not at my “best” I normally have to take a step back to evaluate my state and/or reflect on my performance. I surround myself with others who are also striving to be the best version of themselves. It is motivating and inspiring to see others work hard, learn from their mistakes and seize their opportunities.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Owning and running a business is far from easy! Without the support from my family, boyfriend and friends I would not be where I am today. I started maiorganization because I knew I could provide a service that would literally bring a peace of mind to lives. I have come across “easy” moments and difficult moments in my journey (that definitely make me appreciate those easy moments) and I am grateful for both. The challenges that I have faced are normal for anyone running a business so I like to remind myself that I will get through it. I ultimately have no choice, if I want to succeed. Everything that is good or bad thrown at me is an opportunity for me to rise to the occasion. I want the world to know that working with me, at maiorganization, you will not only receive an organized space but a thoughtfully, aligned space that considers all your concerns, dreams and goals for your home.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take them to a number of places! Some of my favorite breakfast spots are The Pancake House, Snooze and The Coffee Company. For lunch or dinner we would definitely go to Gyu-Kaku, Paco’s, Tocaya or Cabo Cantina. To walk off all of the food, we’d shop around at The Grove, Century City and also 3rd Street Promenade. To chill, we can visit the beach in Santa Monica or tan tan tan! If we’re in Downtown, Katsuya is also another favorite of mine. There’s so much more to do and see but these are a must.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would love to shoutout my inner circle – they know who they are. From brainstorming ideas with me, being my photographer, running to the store with me for pick-ups, literally picking up my orders and even running to the store for my when I didn’t bring enough items (rookie mistake). I’m so blessed!
