Meet Marty Fenyes | Founder of Organic Color Studio/Hairstylist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Marty Fenyes and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Marty, how does your business help the community?
You don’t need toxic chemicals to look beautiful. We’re proud to be the only hair salon in Orange County dedicated exclusively to clean ingredients. Our products are thoughtfully chosen for safety and performance and our hairstylists are not only exceptionally talented– they’re deeply mindful of your health, your hair, and the planet.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
After many years as a hairstylist, I couldn’t ignore the feeling that conventional hair products were toxic and that I was participating in something that didn’t align with my values. I wanted to be part of the solution, not the problem.
When I discovered clean hair color, I went all in. My business suddenly flourished, and I took the leap to open Organic Color Studio.
Only three months later, COVID shut the world down. In March of 2020, my brand new salon was forced to close, and the emotional weight of that moment is hard to describe.
When the doors finally re-opened, Organic Color Studio emerged stronger and more focused than ever. What began as a personal commitment to healthier beauty became a trusted destination for clients seeking clean ingredients without compromising results. Today, the studio stands as proof that innovation, integrity, and perseverance can redefine an industry–and that even in the face of unprecedented challenges, purpose-driven businesses don’t just survive, they thrive.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Grateful for my sister, Vicky, who supported my journey and trusted me with her hair from the very beginning. Once I learned how toxic traditional hair color could be, I stoped coloring her hair altogether–until clean color technology caught up with my vision. Now I can create beautiful color and shine without harsh chemicals, and that means everything to me.
