We had the good fortune of connecting with Matt Taussig and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Matt, what role has risk played in your life or career?
‘One must take risks in order to fly’.
We must take risks to get out of our comfort zone, when we step outside of our comfort zone we open ourselves up to unpredictability. The risk we all dread; ‘the what if we fail’?
When I was 25, I decided to completely change my career from working in aeronautical engineering to creating my own business in music and events. The truth is, I was unhappy in what I was doing at the time and I new in my gut what career path I needed to take. I spent a whole a year locked away planning out my business and how I was going to make it happen. You must take risks in order to be happy, you must never settle for something because you’re scared of what might happen. The truth is, something wonderful can happen and you will open yourself up to new experiences, new people, a new lease of life. ‘Do not fear mistakes. There are none’.

I’m lucky enough my partner, Natalie is also my business partner. We created a music and events business together in 2016 which has since flourished. Our skill set compliment each other perfectly. Thank you Natalie for everything.
