Meet Maxamil | Fashion Designer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Maxamil and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Maxamil, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My business started with the power of boredom. Watching my friends go to college and I’d yet to find my lane I was filled with nothing but boredom. All i knew was that I was filled with creativity and I could make visions come to reality. So with that I began aimlessly drawing on t shirts, I’d already had a love for fashion but creating was the next level. The way I felt after making that shirt I haven’t looked back since.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’ve been designing fashion for a while now and this is my fifth year of it. I got known for my 1 of 1 custom pieces and their cool colors with designs but lately I’ve been feeling “quippy”. Coming out with quantity pieces that have phrases on them like “I’m not the rapper you are thinking of” or “Troubling Times? Get Wasted.” It’s been a whole new world to dive into but I’ll be doing both from here on out. Year 5 of WYC and I want the world to know the name.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If you coming down to the west coast there’s a couple places we gotta go to. We can do all the landmarks yeah, but we have to go to Ventura Blvd for the food and the clothes. Go shopping and get the full maxamil experience and get some good tacos after is the best way to spend a day.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Gotta give a shoutout to the fam, they back me to the grave. Another shoutout to my peers for always boosting me and my brand. And shoutout to the crew you guys who are in my community and keep growing with me and the brand, thems my peoples.
