We had the good fortune of connecting with Melinda Markulis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Melinda, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Lindy Glow was a business that came from my personal life experience. I was determined to find closure with my mothers death, while at the same time understanding my family’s health history. As time went on I realized this also benefited me, as I dealt with depression, anxiety, mood swings, inflammation, eczema, UTIs, ADHD, and dyslexia. While I was studying/experimenting different health routines and cleanses, I not only found closure for my mothers death but also healed myself. Im a professional dancer/model, so as I continued to experience life and talk to more people I realized I was not alone. So many woman deal with hormone issues, PMS, and mental health issues. I find great purpose in inspiring, mentoring and helping woman. So I decided to create a program where I can work with girls and woman 1on1. It all happened very organically. I would say it was my Devine destiny to create Lindy Glow and sell Find Your Glow.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I consider myself a creative. I am an artist and have been for the past 12 years, but no matter what I do in life I create it from the group up. Very similar to Find Your Glow. I took so many different ideas and tools and turned it into a 3/6 month program. And it actually helps woman! I naturally have incredible network and social skills which gets me in many doors. Ive learned to trust myself but most importantly trust my mistakes. I never allow myself to put myself down. That was my biggest downfall throughout life. I created so many restriction in my life simply because I was not addressing my subconscious. Being a creative/artist allows many thoughts to fly around your head. While I developed this program I had the opportunity to finally put that to rest and see what was going on, where the restriction came from and how to stop it.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love food! I also think the best way to connect with someone is over a meal. So I would take them to Urban Ramon. This place is personally one of my favorites. Plus gets us in Hollywood to enjoy further adventures!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Alisa Vitti is one of the boss woman to look into! I was introduced to her app Flo about 6 years ago. At the time I was heavy deep studying multiple health trends. When I found out about this thing called the Infradian Rhythm it changed my life! It made everything I studied come together. It was my main inspiration for Lindy Glow. If you have never heard of her I heavily encourage you to get her book In The Flow.
