We had the good fortune of connecting with Monica Ramon and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Monica, is there something you can share with us that those outside of the industry might not be aware of?
Hello Alex,I notices that some talent that start acting are expecting to become successful too soon.,then when they don’t get the results that they were expecting, they feel very disappointed and some of them want to return to their countries of origen with a heartbroken. That s very sad because some of this talent with a little bite of more patience and hard work could make it in Hollywood! I truly believe this,I have seen people that I love with all my heart and that they are full of talent giving up too soon!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Being an actor is not easy but what is most important is that if you do what makes you happy in Life, then that is worthy! What I learned is to believe in myself, Hollywood made me stronger,I met so interesting people since I moved to LA and it has been a wonderful adventure! I ended up living in Santa Monica,CA,this is a paradise,I just love it,I feel I got my forever home,I always loved living by the beach.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Venice Beach and Santa Monica… I would take my friend to visit Santa Monica Pier, the beautiful beaches, bike rides and my favorite street “Main St.” I would take them to Jameson bar,so much fun there! Dinner at Casablanca in Venice,so romantic 🙂 And the best Italian pizza at Venice Cuccina.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I m very grateful to all the talent that I have met in my career, everyone of them.taught me something amazing.to remember. First time I was filming a real movie ,was working in “Polanski” 2008 and “Mexican Gangsters”with Damian Chapa,Star of blood in blood out. I learn so much from him and the film industry and I m very grateful.Specially how to create an action role using swords and guns. I will be very grateful to him always for all his teachings as a director and as human being. Matt Chassin ,my manager and mentor, what can I say “the best of the best!” Such an amazing and hard worker manager in Hollywood and public relations that loves and truly cares for his family talent. Angel Gutierrez,my acting teacher from Madrid from Chejov Theatre,he s in my heart always. My mother Anna, the one who told me to leave Spain for Los Angeles CA,because she is as brave as me! Lol
