Meet Morgan Tigue | Bartender

We had the good fortune of connecting with Morgan Tigue and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Morgan, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
The thought process behind my business was to have something that adults could enjoy all year round. Most adults like to drink from time to time and with the weather being hot in Los Angeles 90% of the time i just thought it would make sense to start up my own mobile alcohol drink business. I’ve been a bartender for 2 and half years and have a great clientele who enjoy the drink ideas i make up for them at the bar so i wanted to open that experience up to everyone especially during the pandemic.

What should our readers know about your business?
The Drunk Specialist is an alcohol beverage business that also offers bartending for events and parties. All of my drinks are personalized to each and every consumer I allow them to choose what they love while giving my expert opinion. In my business i also offer cannabis infused beverages. Cannabis has been medically shown to help with many different sicknesses and pain relievers. So if i can help anyone whose sick or in pain feel a little bit better that will make the happiest. Getting my business was not easy because this is los angeles everybody can make a good drink, i just had to find something to set me apart from everyone else. Some of the lessons i’ve learned week is different with this business some weeks business will be booming and some weeks there might no be any business at all but just continue to push and promote your product no matter what. I want people to know that my brand is made to make people not only feel good within themselves but also with the people around them. In regards to my story, i’m just a girl from Lancaster, California trying to do the best I can with what I got.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my bestie is coming into town first and foremost we’re hitting up the best theme park in cali during the week because (the lines are stupid on the weekend haha) and thats six flags magic mountain in Santa clarita to scream our heads off and best believe before we leave we’re going to get a candy apple and a caramel funnel cake. Now as we get into the weekend Saturday we’d have to have lunch at mikes deli on Slauson and then were heading to a nice bar / lounge maybe Page71 in Santa Monica or Cabo in Hollywood. Sunday funday is definitely going to include brunch at one of my favs Castaway in Burbank followed by a much needed nap.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to recognize my loving family, my incredible friend group, and my amazing boyfriend. They have all been so supportive and helpful since i started up in June of 2020 and I wouldn’t have the success that i’ve had if it wasn’t for their feedback, great ideas, promotion, unconditional love, and support.
