We had the good fortune of connecting with Nancy Mogy and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nancy, what do you think makes you most happy? Why?
Waking up everyday and using my gift to promote love in anyway I can is my ideal form of happiness. I believe everyone is born with a gift. This is something they can do that makes them feel whole and an action that either gives love, reminds others to give love, and spreads it. This form of love can be with friends, family, strangers, and provide a feeling of warmth. My gift is using my passion for public speaking and sharing things that make people feel something. When I am up on stage engaging a crowd, making them laugh, making them sad, or even reminding them to love themselves, these are the moments where I feel I am most myself and experiencing a sense of contagious euphoria. Even the moments when I am not on stage or am talking to an individual person, there is this feeling I get when I can tell someone is moved by my words and inspired. These are the moments when I feel my happiest, when I am sharing love and doing what I was destined for,

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets me apart from others is my mission. Compared to other artists/entertainers, I do not only want to entertain and dazzle a crowd, I want to invoke feelings and inspire others to share their story. I believe one person’s life story is another person’s road map, therefore I wanted to create a platform to encourage discussions many need but avoid. Growing up I often felt clueless and had to figure out a lot on my own. I wish I had a positive role model in the entertainment world that emphasized the importance of taking care of one’s mental health and believing in themselves. I became the role model I needed, and strive to get guests from all backgrounds to discuss their life lessons in a comedic way.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Growing up in LA, I have noticed that there is something for everyone. L.A. can get really hectic even just sitting in traffic which can overwhelm people who aren’t used it. Therefore I would aim to have a peaceful and renewing LA trip. Malibu is one of my favorite parts of LA and everytime I go it feels like a mini vacation. The food options are mouth watering, the views are breathtaking, and going on google and finding some hidden beaches always helps too! Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Where do I start! I’d like to begin by thanking my high school film teacher Mr.Gerren, He took a chance on me and let me join the advanced broadcasting class and literally take over the whole show our class put out daily to the whole school. He gave me creative freedom, constructive criticism, and pushed me to follow my dreams and not let anyone stop me. Years later I reached out to him and he is helping me film my up and coming talk show. He has connected me with others in the industries and reminded me why I started everytime I am down. With this confidence I gained in his class, I then met my mentor Mark Thompson. I was at a charity event and he was hosting it, I waited till he got off stage and introduced myself and shared how I was moved by his performance and wanted to do exactly what he did. I met him my last year of high school when I really began to take my dreams more seriously and he took me under his wing. From phone calls mentoring me, helping me get new opportunities, and encouraging me to put myself out there and be my most authentic self, I would not be who I am today if I decided not to step out of my comfort zone and introduce myself. I am very fortunate to have people in the industry who are genuine and supportive, their contagious generosity has inspired me to elevate others and never let anyone stop me from pursuing what I am best at.
