We had the good fortune of connecting with Nazar and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nazar, how do you think about risk?
For me, taking a risk is clearly the most logical thing to do when you want to succeed in life. Every opportunity and every achievement comes from taking a risk—that’s the way I see things. There’s a French expression that says, “nothing ventured, nothing gained,” and whenever I hesitate to take action or go after something I want, I think about that mantra. It always pushes me to go for it.

I know that, for example, if I hadn’t taken the risk of moving to Los Angeles, I would have never had all these opportunities : teaching at the most prestigious dance schools or dancing for many recording artists like ad Bunny, Snoop Dogg, Eminem or Yolanda Adams…And of course, simply taking the risk of living from my passion was the biggest one for me—especially after graduating with a master’s degree.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What I am most proud of is choosing to live for my passion—a decision that can be incredibly frightening, especially in times like these. The journey was not easy. After earning my master’s degree, I faced health challenges that forced me to deeply question my life choices. It was then that I truly understood how short life is, and how important it is to take risks and pursue what truly sets your soul on fire. For me, that passion is dance.

It took me time to fully realize and embrace my choice. What I have learned throughout all these years is the importance of having a clear direction and staying true to it, being surrounded by the right people, and maintaining discipline and a strong routine. I also learned not to force things – what is meant for you will always find its way to you.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My favorite spots are Malibu for the beaches, and of course Orange County. The nature here is absolutely incredible—mountains on one side, the ocean on the other. Having access to places where I can step away and recharge outside of dance has become really important to me. I love hiking around Los Angeles, spending time outdoors, and wandering through local markets—it’s all part of my balance.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to thank many people, but since this is connected to Los Angeles, I especially want to thank the person who encouraged me to come here and helped me through every step of the process—whether physically, mentally, or administratively—and that person is Kany. I had the chance to work with her in France and even assist her. In 2018, during a trip here to LA, she clearly motivated me to move and settle here. Today, she is a huge star: after choreographing for Beyoncé and many other artists, she has become a major celebrity in South Korea.
