Meet Nicole Pringle | Educator & CEO of Tutor For Toddlers

We had the good fortune of connecting with Nicole Pringle and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nicole, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
During the Covid pandemic I’ve decided to relaunch my tutor company, Tutor For Toddlers. I felt it was imperative to assist both parents and students during these difficult times in our education system. There were and still are many parents and students struggling with remote learning. The changes happened so drastically that no one could adequately prepare for it. Therefore, I wanted to help my community by providing educational support to as many scholars as possible. I’ve decided to devote most of my time during quarantine to tutoring scholars virtually. I truly feel that I have already impacted so many families and this makes me feel like I’m living in my purpose.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a proud educator! I’ve been teaching with the NYC Department of Education for sixteen years. I have my BA in Early Childhood Education (grades Birth – 2nd) and my MS in Instructional Technology (grades K-12th). What sets me apart from other educators is my passion for teaching and learning. Due to the pandemic, many people are now aware of how strenuous the education profession really is. It is a proven fact that nearly 50 percent of new teachers leave the profession within their first five years. However, I am more in love with teaching every year. I love seeing my scholars faces light up when they’ve learned a new concept. I love receiving heartfelt letters and notes from both parents and students. I consider it my testimony. It makes my hard work all worth it. As an educator, I am most proud of my resilience. I work extremely hard to get where I am today, a highly effective educator. Obstacles were thrown my way professionally and personally but I persevered. I’ve experienced teaching at a school under failed leadership. In addition, I managed to graduate with my Masters degree in Instructional Technology and pass my certification exam while going through a messy divorce and raising two young children. There were days when I felt defeated. By the grace of God, the support of my family and friends, I made it. I want all scholars to be resilient in all aspect of their lives. Tutor For Toddlers is a brand that believes all children deserve a solid educational foundation. We strive to give our scholars quality education.

I’m now a Best-Selling Author! I published a book this month titled, Big Brother by Nicole Pringle. My book made Amazon’s Best Seller in category Siblings Relationship. I’m so honored! I’ve attached the picture of my book to this email.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love to have fun! I am a foodie, I absolutely love to eat. Therefore, I would first take my best friend to one of my favorite restaurants in the city called, Jue Lan. Afterwards, we would go to a lounge because I love to dance. I would take my best friend to Katra Lounge for a night of dancing and fun. The next day would be dedicated to pampering. I love a good massage and some wine. I would take my bestie to C’est La Vie Spa and Salon in Middletown for massages, facials, manicures and pedicures. Afterwards we will have dinner at another restaurant favorite called Made in Puerto Rico. We would have brunch on Sunday then she would have to go home so I could catch up on my reality shows (guilty pleasure) 🙂

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to shout out my children, Jacob and Joshua. They both inspired my business idea and they are the face of Tutor For Toddlers. I am their first teacher yet I get my strength from them. I would also like to thank my support system who I call my village. These people are my family and my childhood friends who are more like sisters to me. I am extremely blessed to have a close-knit family and a positive circle of women surrounding me. Henry Charles Jr., he assisted with having my book published. Last but not least, I would like to shout out Tyriek Murphy for the recognition which allowed this platform. Thank you all!
