We had the good fortune of connecting with Nikki Green and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nikki, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
“Yesterdays the past, tomorrow’s the future but today is a gift.Thats why it’s called the present” Bill Keane
This quote amplifies the meaning of living in the present. To enjoy the now and live each day as if it was your last. I learned to enjoy the moment and make memories. To live in the now and capture opportunities that present itself. To not be afraid to live my dreams and pursue each day with a new mindset. By incorporating this into my daily life I was able to have a different outlook on how I wanted to live and approach my day. Together with my viewpoint and approach; I am now mentally free to allow my creativity to flourish.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Victory Adaptive Collection was created on the premises of specializing in swimwear that will embrace and include custom pieces for our customers. The pieces that Victory Adaptive makes are hand picked materials that are able to attach Velcro fasteners to assist with the dressing process. With this type of style and material being used, we hope to promote dressing independence while being fashionably forward. My proudest moment during this journey would have to be when I am able to see the finish product on a child with a big smile on their face. Importantly knowing that I am adding memories to a family vacation and helping parents and children with all abilities is priceless.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would want to dedicate my shoutout to my daughter Starr. She is one of my biggest inspiration. Starr truly understands the meaning of life. To my son Thailen, who is filled with empathy, compassion, and kindness. I am also grateful for my family for always rooting for me, especially to my sister for being my writer. Lastly, to all of the amazing special needs superheroes and parents who I encountered throughout the years and witness from a far overcome all of the challenges that they’re faced with and continue to have a positive mindset.
