We had the good fortune of connecting with Noelle Marie Gardner and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Noelle Marie, how does your business help the community?
Both of our brands, Namaste Organic and Flower + Thorne Botanicals bring people real relief from aches, injuries and pain. It’s such an honor to be able to craft beautiful healing products that truly make an impact on the quality of people’s lives. There is an entire segment of the population that is unfamiliar with and even slightly awkward with delving into legal cannabis, primarily older women. These women are tired of all the side effects that come from pharmaceuticals and they crave natural products that help without causing harm. Our THC & CBD infused bath and body products provide that and because of that they are able to be more active, live their best lives free from pain. Our customers spread the word to friends and family that also suffer, they frequently gift our products to help others and they share their healing stories and are inspirational. Our products help people discover the healing benefits of cannabis without the psychoactive effects.
Our products are made with organic ingredients which we source from other woman owned businesses, helping lift fellow female owned business up and creating growth has incredible social impact on independence, security, job creation and community.
What should our readers know about your business?
What sets Flower + Thorne apart is our commitment to our customers, they are our everything, they are why we exist and we strive every single day to provide them with beautifully crafted, organic bath and body products that make their lives better.
Our unwillingness to compromise on ingredients and quality is part of our promise to them. We believe in using only pure, simple ingredients that bring maximum comfort, relief and healing , luxuriously.!
Our road has not been easy, we have had to overcome quite a few obstacles, including a lack of resources, partners that tried to steal the brand, zero marketing budget going up against well known brands and loss of suppliers due to Covid. But none of that is enough to deter me, I believe in these products. I believe I’ve found my purpose in life, and I will continue to persevere and thrive in the pursuit of building a brand and a business that will make a difference in peoples lives for years to come.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’d start her visit off with a drive up PCH with the top down from LAX for lunch at the Reel Inn in Malibu for some of their yummy steamed clams and a cold pitcher of Laqunitas on the patio. From there we’d head to Malibu Creek to check out the tide pools, then do a little shopping in Malibu Village, then hit up The Atrium in Woodland Hills and pick up some of my favorite brands. From there head down to the 91 Club in downtown LA for a fun night networking and meeting awesome people that are helping people with plant-based medicine.
Start the day off right with a morning Yoga session with Ashlee Langas, followed by a healing Reiki session with Emi Tomijima. Drive out to Monrovia for breakfast at Cafe de Olla, followed by a beautiful hike up to the waterfall at Monrovia Canyon Park. After a few hours relaxing on my patio we’d grab the bus to the Hollywood Bowl and catch one of KCRW’s World Series concerts from a Garden Box with a great bottle of wine.
Sunday Morning Yoga at Rising Lotus in Sherman Oaks with Daniel Stewart, it’s my version of church with the singing, chanting and asana’s surrounded by beautiful souls. Followed by a trip to the Olympic Korean Spa for a day of decadent pampering. Dinner at Gyu Kaku for some Japanese bbq and Sake. Dessert from Creme Caramel in Sherman Oaks.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My Mother has been a huge supporter and has been behind me every step of the way. In addition my soul tribe of incredible women has held me up and given me strength, knowledge, love and support and I am beyond grateful for all of them!
