We had the good fortune of connecting with Pamela Jean Noble and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Pamela Jean, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
My priorities have definitely changed especially since having my son. While work and careers are always important. Moments you can never get back. My sons firsts you can never get back. Quality time and putting my husband as a priority you can never get back. I used to work so much (late nights, early mornings, and weekends) that there are times I can look back and say I wish I would have slowed down. But now I have slowed down and am enjoying putting my family first. Success and wealth is great but it means nothing if you do not have love, family, and integrity. I am happy I can say I have worked since I was 14 and had a crazy work ethic but also that I can say family means more than anything and raising my son to be kind hearted, considerate, and compassionate is my job right now.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
The entertainment industry is never easy. I definitely did not take the easy route choosing education and going to regular high school and college over just getting a GED so I could work more. But I’m proud of the steps I took and how I still managed to work in the industry when I could (you can only take so many days/weeks of school before not passing! (laughs)). I’ve never taken no as an answer though and have always kept pushing forward. If I didn’t have an agent I contacted companies directly or sent my pictures in etc. When there’s a will there’s a way. Looking back the biggest thing I am most proud of is I’m happy I never sacrificed myself to get further in the industry.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I am very low key/touristy (laughs) so I’d probably say Disneyland and a Dodgers game are a must do during the week! As far as food any plant based restaurants or with those options! We love Sugar Taco, Madre Tierra, and Munchies Diner! Then I would say a few relaxing getaway days in Malibu and then Palm Springs! My husband loves the water so that’s his happy place!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to shoutout to all the animal sanctuaries, documentaries, and activists who have led my husband and I to a plant based lifestyle. I have always loved animals but really pushed me to start my nonprofit 501 (c) 3 Noble Critters. It has made a difference in our health and learning all the effects on our environment has been so eye opening. I hope to make a difference in people the same way they helped make a difference in my family’s life.
