We had the good fortune of connecting with Parris Edwards and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Parris, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I’ve always been a Dream chaser as well as a Go-Getter. I don’t like waiting for people. I like to take the initiative to get things done. The way I looked at risk taking .. it’s like school. It’s like you’re taking a jump & you don’t know what’s on the other side. When you jump it could work out in your favor or it could not. If it doesn’t go in your favor at least you learned what NOT to do & now you can prepare for a next go-round. It’s a win/win. I just packed up & moved to LA at 21 with $800 to my name & a dream. I’m a firm believer in the law of attraction & what you place into the universe will come about. You just have to do the work & apart of the work is taking the risks. One thing about me I love not knowing what’s on the other side. That’s the thrill of life. It’s supposed to be fun.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Renaissance Man. Real Estate Mogul Los Angeles Based. PE Propz primarily focuses on helping buyers build their rental portfolio wether that be to Buy & Hold or to Fix & Flip. We pride ourselves in providing our buyers exact search criteria. We also pride ourselves in selling homes within 7 days all cash offers. We operate in all 50 states. It’s definitely been a journey to get here today but a lot of prayer & hard work I will say. Patience is the hardest lesson I had to learn. We often want things when we want them instead of waiting for God to guide & direct us.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Let’s they come in for a week on Friday. I’d make Reservations for lunch at the Beverly Hilton followed by a trip to the grove. We’d most likely go out to a club or 2 I’d say Harriet’s Rooftop or Skybar in West Hollywood. Saturday we going to the beach we’ll eat & drink & go jet skiing. That night we’re getting dressed up & going to Bootsy bellows (pre Covid) or 1OAK. After hours a party in the hills Most likely until 6am. Sunday morning is church followed by brunch at Fratelli’s on Melrose. After that we’d go to a Day Party at PH Day club in Hollywood. That night we’d do a dinner at Ysabel or Delilah. Monday is work time. We’d go to a couple conferences try to do some networking I like the LAREIC (Los Angeles real estate investors club) We’d go to lunch at Santolina in Beverly Hills then we’d hit Beverly center to shop. Tuesday is a rodeo Trip & we’re spending the day there. I’d say Wednesday we’ll explore DTLA go to few rooftops Thursday the last day & we’ll spend it at Topanga Mall.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I read a lot of self help books & There are 3 books that have stuck out to me that I really enjoyed. The Alchemist, Rich Dad Poor Dad & The Secret. I feel like they all played a huge role in my life because they completely changed my way of thinking. If you haven’t read them I encourage you to check them out. I spend a lot of my time alone either praying or just consulting with God so of Course none of this would be possible & I give all Glory to God.
