We had the good fortune of connecting with Philip Garcia and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Philip, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
We embrace honest conversation and cultural diversity. At the heart of my company, we are here to teach our clients how to empower and serve their audience with real value. We help musicians and creators share their art, culture and stories to the world through video, podcasts and advice articles that focus on leadership and artistic growth for today’s influencers.
What should our readers know about your business?
I’m an LA based music producer and media coach for creators. Growing up as an aspiring musician and show producer, I quickly realized the challenges of making it as an independent artist. Being independent was my problem. It was lonely. So that led me on a quest to build the best team that I could find. I founded VisionQuest Sound in 2010. We’re a boutique media company that helps creators share their art and stories to the world through video, articles and podcasts. We’re a small group of creators who loves to vlog and blog about music, culture and leadership. My love for producing and mentoring emerging artists has changed my job role to a media coach. I help my clients to “level up their content game” with tools and strategies that help them break through the noise and succeed in their career. We are well partnered with a network of top influencers, world-class session musicians, and creators. Besides media coaching, our creative services include: video production, content marketing, social media ads, acoustic recording, mixing, mastering, and location sound. VisionQuest Sound is constantly growing, partnering, and learning from other small businesses in our LA community. I believe through teamwork, we grow stronger.” – Philip
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Ooh! I love the outdoors. So, first stop is Malibu or Santa Monica beach. In fact, we’ll rent a little space there along the water for the week. Every morning we’ll start off with a beach workout, running along the shore while the sun rises. Breakfast crepes. Throughout the week, we’ll watch some concerts at the Hollywood Bowl, take tours to some of our favorite movie and music studios, and of course Universal Studios. The food is wonderful in LA. So we’d probably have to travel and review a different restaurant each day, From K Town to Middle Eastern food and everything between.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Shout out to God first. I thank Him for sustaining me this far. Shout out to my family and parents for raising and supporting me and my precious wife for always believing in me.
