We had the good fortune of connecting with Rhiannon Clark and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rhiannon, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Fitness has always been a significant part of my life. I grew up as a dancer and later had the opportunity to perform professionally. After having my oldest son, I discovered a group fitness class designed specifically for moms, and the sense of community it fostered was truly a lifeline during those early years of motherhood. That experience ignited my passion for fitness on a deeper level, leading me to become a group fitness instructor.

While I loved every moment of teaching, I realized I wanted more creative freedom over the classes I offered and the ability to reach a broader audience beyond early motherhood. I found joy in multiple styles of movement and became certified in various fitness modalities to bring that same excitement to others. Additionally, I wanted to incorporate personal training with a strong emphasis on mindset—because I truly believe that success in fitness is just as much about how you think as it is about how you move.

With Rhi Inspired Fitness, my goal was to create a fun, supportive, and empowering environment where people feel seen, heard, and valued—regardless of where they are on their fitness journey. I wanted to shift the perspective around exercise, making it something that feels like self-care rather than a punishment or a response to guilt. My mission is to help others discover the joy in movement and understand that a positive mindset is the key to long-term success.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Rhi Inspired Fitness has had a slower start than some businesses, but I truly love what I’m building. As a mom to two energetic boys, ages 8 and 6, they are my greatest motivation and my “why.” Balancing motherhood with my business has meant that at times, my family takes priority, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. In addition to fitness, I’m also deeply passionate about acting, and when the opportunity to be on set arises, I embrace it wholeheartedly. Juggling multiple passions means my business has sometimes had to take a backseat, but I remain committed to nurturing it—taking small, meaningful steps every day to help it grow. Even in these early stages, the support and belief of my clients inspire me and fuel my passion to keep pushing forward.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned along the way is patience. Success doesn’t happen overnight, and I’ve had to remind myself not to let challenges or missteps throw me off course. I used to let fear and doubt hold me back, but I’ve realized that if I stay calm, trust the process, and keep moving forward—one step at a time—things will work out. Maintaining a positive mindset has always been my strength, and I lean on that every day as I continue building this dream.

What I want the world to know about me and Rhi Inspired Fitness is simple: I love what I do. There’s nothing more rewarding than witnessing someone overcome obstacles they once thought impossible. To be even a small part of someone’s fitness journey is an absolute honor. My goal is to create a space where movement feels like the best part of your day—where you leave class feeling stronger, happier, and more confident. I will always believe in my clients, even when they struggle to believe in themselves. I know firsthand how life isn’t always sunshine and rainbows, and I’ve been deeply impacted by those who held belief in me when I couldn’t hold it for myself. That’s what Rhi Inspired Fitness is all about—a safe, supportive space where every person feels seen, valued, and empowered.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I absolutely love Burbank and the surrounding area! There’s so much charm, character, and fun to be had, and if my best friend were visiting, I’d make sure they had the best time ever.

Of course, no trip to Southern California is complete without a visit to Disneyland and Universal Studios—I’ve had annual passes to both, and they never lose their magic! But beyond the theme parks, I’d want to show them all the special spots that make Burbank feel like home.

Coffee is a non-negotiable part of my day, so we’d start our mornings at my favorite coffee shops. One day, we’d grab the signature Three Sisters Latte at Three Sisters Coffee (because I’m a sucker for a floral coffee!). Another morning, we’d head to my all-time favorite, The Ugly Mug, where we’d sip on a Vanilla Nut Latte and split a spinach and kale croissant, soaking up the cozy atmosphere at their outdoor tables while planning our adventures.

For a little shopping, we’d stop by The Crystal Shrine to pick up some “fancy rocks” (because who doesn’t love a little gemstone magic?) and browse their beautiful jewelry selection. Then, just around the corner in Magnolia Park, we’d hit up It’s A Wrap for a shopping spree—piecing together cute outfits from clothing worn on actual TV shows and movies.

A self-care day would be a must! We’d start with luxurious facials at Ethereal Hand Esthetics (a short drive from Burbank, but totally worth it!). Then, we’d head back for mani-pedis at Polished Beauty Bar, because nothing says relaxation like a little pampering.

For dinner, we’d indulge in some of the best sushi at Tokyoya Sushi—ordering the spicy tuna on crispy rice is a must. And to cap off the night, we’d share a bottle of wine while enjoying live music at Urban Press Winery—the perfect way to wind down and soak in the Burbank vibes.

I also love a good night out experiencing live performances, so if timing allows, we’d absolutely catch a show at The Music Center in Downtown LA—whether it’s a stunning ballet, a Broadway tour, or a symphony performance, it’s always an incredible experience. And, of course, if there’s a great artist in town, a concert at the Hollywood Bowl would be on the list. There’s truly nothing like watching live music under the stars at such an iconic venue!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to everyone who has ever taken a class with me—those who have shown up, put in the work, and shared moments of laughter and joy throughout our workouts. I am incredibly grateful for each and every one of you! Your dedication and energy inspire me to give my all every single day. Because of you, I continue to grow, learn, and become a better instructor, coach, and person. It is an absolute privilege to be a part of your fitness journey, and I will forever be thankful for the trust you place in me.
