We had the good fortune of connecting with Saint Tru and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Saint, what are you inspired by?
I can honestly say that I am inspired by everything. Or at least I try my best to keep my self open for inspiration so that I can possibly be inspired by anything. Inspiration is all around us but u just gotta know what to look or what to look for. Though my best recipe for it is that I don’t look for it I let it find me and when u keep your self open to that then you open yourself up to unlimited inspiration. God gave us a lot of reminders of just how amazing this thing called life is. So I try to stay inspired and truth is I don’t have to try that hard. Inspiration is everywhere.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I feel that the one thing that sets me apart from others is the same thing that puts me in the good company of the successful and that’s my at times foolish refusal to quit. I just won’t give up. I literally can’t. And trust me sometimes I want to. But quitting feels worse than not making your dreams come true. Something about that just doesn’t sit right with me. So I keep going. Not because I want to because I swear I wanna do other things sometimes. But it’s because I have to. I can’t stop. I will keep going and pushing this VIVA thing into yall faces until yall realize what yall should have been realized all along. That this is where your ears belong. This is the sound you been craving. This is the feeling you have been missing. And if you ever wondered where it was at…it’s in the HOUSE.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If you spending a week with me you might as well get ready to breath good ole studio air lol cuz that’s where you will end up. I don’t go out often. And often times the best places to eat are who ever is still delivering at 2am.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
