We had the good fortune of connecting with Sharon Hakimfar and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sharon, Let’s talk about principles and values – what matters to you most?
Honesty is key! Clients need to feel comfortable and guided in the right direction. Whether it’s a seller or landlord who has unrealistic expectations, or a buyer who is uninformed of possible complications and potential problems down the line, I am always upfront and transparent. Clients may not want to hear such negative information, but in the long run, it benefits them both emotionally and financially. Communication and accessibility are key components, and my clients appreciate these qualities when they we work together. For this reason, I have worked with many of my clients repeatedly on numerous transactions. Oftentimes our professional relationship becomes a lifelong friendship. Not only do my clients continue to use my services throughout the years, but they also refer me to their own friends and family, which is the best advertising there is!
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
THE Real Estate Agency is a boutique brokerage firm where we engage in residential and commercial transactions. No deal is too big or too small. Whether it’s a multi-million dollar transaction or something small involving just a few thousand dollars, we treat all of our deals the same and give it equal attention. Our clients deserve the best representation and they are our top priority. My clients oftentimes are bewildered on how I get their transactions done so quickly and professionally. I tell them what was once said to me by a very wise woman: “Always ask a busy person to do something.” Having a packed schedule being a full-time broker, wife, and mother to three children, I don’t have any time to waste. I take care of things right away diligently, because I know there is always a new deal around the corner that will need attention.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My home’s doors are always open and I have always loved to entertain. I have family and friends from all walks of life who are always stopping by who are smart, funny, and talented. We love to engage in great conversations and have gourmet, home-cooked meals. If my friend is athletic, I would suggest going for a hike in the mountains or a bike ride along the beach. If my visitor is into the Hollywood scene, I would suggest going to dinner in some of West Hollywood’s fabulous restaurants such as Catch LA or Craig’s. If my friend wants to people-watch, Beverly Hills’ Canon Drive can be quite the scene. Depending on the person and their interests, there’s always somewhere captivating to go in the City of Angels.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My husband Sean deserves great recognition for believing in me to start my own real estate brokerage firm. It took lots of courage to leave my attorney position at a very prestigious Beverly Hills law firm for a real estate practice with zero clients and no steady income. Since my career began as a broker, I have been engaged in hundreds of transactions and look forward to thousands more!
