We had the good fortune of connecting with Shuichi Morimoto and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Shuichi, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Risk is one of a tools for open up my ability to do something new in my life/ career and using it when I have lots of options in front of me. For example, I used to be a dancer and wanted to be a backup dancer, working for artists and toureing. But I realized that I actully wanted to be a front of camera when I got first commercial job in LA. So I took my risk to stop dancer’s career permently and I was focus on Commercial, Acting and modeling jobs in LA that was extreamly fun and I found many characters in my mind.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I do a lot of stuffs in my career. Dancing, Choreography, Fitness , Modeling and Film. Most of my careers connected with dancing which is my passion and I really love to mix all of stuffs and make something new. My dance career was not easy, it’s really competetive and I’m not the kinda person who wanna be a top or the best dancer. I would like to be a something artistic , giving fun and unique, that’s why I was learning other skills to be more different btw others in LA. I do fitness coach, I have been working out for 15 years and teaching for 20 years include dancing. I have many exeperiences for training to my clients and now I still do trainer jobs in Tokyo, Japan. Also I get commercials jobs for fitness and fashions sometimes that I love to work for it ,because I really like to learn about camera work. I film my own video sometimes and I would like to have my own production. So Its a lot of stuffs going on around me and what I want the world to know about me is you can do whatever you love it !!!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Now I live in Tokyo until the end of covid-19. It’s too many amazing places and foods in Japan. I can’t decided it LOL But if I wanna bring my friend in LA is “Nick’s on 2nd Long Beach”. Foods, drinks are great and walk distance to Long Beach. I highly recommend PRIME CENTER CUT FILET & 42 BABY BACK PORK RIBS .
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
So , I really love to listen to “On Purpous” by Jay Shetty”s podcast and most of his topics are “Motivations” . I have been listening to his podcast for 3 years and reading his book every morning . He is the best life coach in my life and I would like to be him someday in the future .
