Meet Skully Brandon | Actor & Model

We had the good fortune of connecting with Skully Brandon and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Skully, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I always knew that i wanted to make videos and be on camera since a kid. So I never felt fulfilled at any 9-to-5 job i had in the past. I first picked up a camera when i was 13 years old and fell in love with making videos all around my neighborhood. After school I was creating content, even when i became an adult and had to get full-time jobs to survive and live on my own i still figured out a way to do funny skits and dance videos. It was difficult and I wasn’t making any money, but there was never a point in my life where I fully stopped pursuing a career in entertainment. I love what i do.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My content is me just being me. That’s what I love about it. Most content creators are limited to doing a repetitive style of content over and over. For me, one post I could be dancing in the street, the next post i could be on the red carpet, and the post after that i could be on a movie set showing behind the scenes in between filming. At first, my lifestyle content creation wasn’t working for me so I began to incorporate fashion and selfie-style videos to make it more personal. That’s when I went viral multiple times and grew rapidly. A fan base who feels excitement of not knowing what I’m posting next.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Definitely taking them to my favorite Thai restaurant called Pink Pepper in Hollywood. Then plummer park in West Hollywood is always a good time. Perfect for a picnic, basketball, or tennis. Can’t forget about the Smash Burgers, Chris n Eddys is a must. When the weekend comes, Bar Lis is always a vibe for drinks. Hiking the Santa Ynez trail in Topanga Canyon would be on the itinerary too.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to shoutout Next Step Talent. I was lost and somewhat discouraged when i first started to pursue a career in content creation full-time. Luckily, having other influencer friends lead me into the right room where i met Geoff from Next Step Talent who immediately showed interest in working with me. Signing to this agency literally changed my entire life and taught me so much about the industry. I had no idea how to get brand deals, promos, or connected with movie companies. The exclusive events and movie premieres they got me invited to taught me how to network, build relationships with big brands, and find long-term partnerships. All of this knowledge I still use to this day to keep my career thriving. So huge shoutout to Next Step Talent for being the first believe in me and open a ton of doors.
