We had the good fortune of connecting with Sonia Lee and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sonia, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?
The most important lesson my career has taught me is to do the best I can do and not compare myself to others in my field. I make sure to listen and keep learning from my own mistakes and learn from my peers. I do my best to stay connected with my higher self to serve my clients and give them the best possible version of me that I can.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My art is Men’s Grooming. I love what I do so much that it does not feel like work! I get so excited to see my regular clients and that truly is such a blessing. One thing I’ve learned is to always have a prepared kit so I can focus on not only my craft, but also bringing joy and peace on set. I work with my meditation teacher who has trained me for over 20 years on helping me understand myself and my life to overcome any challenges I may face. I am here to grow and share with the world all that I have to offer and will never stop!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
On my free time, I love to walk my dog and take walks around the park and go to the beach. Some restaurants I love are Hoy-ka Thai Restaurant on Sunset and Vinh Loi Tofu in Reseda! I definitely recommend visiting a meditation center I go to – Body & Brain Wilshire Yoga – Tai Chi.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d love to give a shoutout to my agency, Exclusive Artists and my agents who support me. Darin has helped me so much along the way and I would not be where I am without him. He helped me develop into the artist I wanted to be and has guided me through every step of the way. Andy, she has so much love to give and protects me at all costs. Kim, she assists me with any press inquiries and helps keep my kit in good shape for my clients. I have another great agent, Claire, who has such a big heart. I also have the support from Matt, who is an artist himself along with talented Allie, Jeremy, and Linn. They all support me and give me the help I need to succeed. I’d like to also give a shoutout to my spiritual teacher, Ilchi Lee who taught me how to find peace within myself and Master Choa Kok Sui who helps me achieve oneness with my higher soul. A book I’m currently reading is Medical Medium by Anthony William which is teaching me about cleansing from within to heal.
